- Mike BrearleyThis company is a scam outfit based in California. I was applying for a short-term loan of $1500 via several Internet "bad credit / no problem" companies and this company got my information. They called me to complete the processing of my loan and told me I was approved for $1500. Their process was for me to send $250 via MoneyPak to demonstrate my ability to repay. This money would then be refunded on the loan deposit. I was foolish enough to believe this being desperate to get a short-term loan. When the loan funds were not deposited in my account by the time stated I called the agent, Eric Thompson, 818-666-5737 x517. He had gone for the day but another agent said they had transferred the funds but the IRS had put the deposit on hold as I needed to pay 14% taxes on the loan before the funds would be released. I asked for a contact at the IRS and was given Mark Brown 510-545-7485 x317. He told me I needed to pay $217 in taxes. I was suspect of his Indian accent and poor use of English. I became more suspicious when he started pushing me to pay that instant and to use MoneyPak. This is when I knew this had to be a scam. The real IRS would not use MoneyPak. I reported this fake IRS agent to the real IRS (1-800-366-4484). I called Eric Thompson, 818-666-5737, back and asked for a refund on the $250. He said that they could not do that and the only option I had to get the loan was to pay the taxes. I told him I had contacted the real IRS and their Mark Brown was a fraud and the IRS will investigate. I accused his company of being scammers and he got irate. So I asked him to email me proof of the funds deposit and the IRS hold. He said he would do that and I never received an email from him.
No when I call 818-666-5737 I get an answering machine stating "This is Nixon Parker and I am away from my desk". I've been scammed and this was my stupid error. I should have not sent money upfront. Lesson learned.- Caller: US Superior Loans
- cmcalenzoThis guy told me he was the federal marshals and that I had a judgement against me and that I had to appear in court. If I went with his option 2 I could pay back 800 now and whipe all charges against me.
