Women pretending to be a police officer from the CA Police Dept..... says her name is Jennifer Friedman.... attempting to collect on a loan...... this was checked out with the police dept. and there is no such person on their force.  This is a scam.  Tell her you are going to report her for impersonating an officer and hang up.  They are attempting to extort money.

Well, did you inform the police about the call and make a report?

Yes it was reported.  They are working in collaberation with another phone # (912) 208-0982 who purport to be a lawyer's office.  Also a scam - trying to collect on old loans.

I received an emergency call on my cell and didn't get to answer so then they called my job and the caller Id read 210911. It was a lady named Jennifer Friedman, she was extremely rude and was telling me that I was going to be picked up from my job the next day and I was going to lose my job. She said she could not give me anymore time on this case. Apparently its for an old payday loan. She then asked if I could leave work and go to the nearest store to send them $500 then she could extend my case. I told her I'd call her back at 5pm and when I did I was able to ask questions cause I was out of work, she got upset and started yelling at me and told me not to ever call that number again and I was going to be "dragged to jail tomorrow". After reading the comments on here i called back this morning to tell then that I knew it was a scam and this guy who answered said "im sorry Mam this is the criminal investigations department, please dont call this number again"

A guy from this number claiming to Frank Lewis the same Frank Lewis that called me from a number from Darby MT, calling about a debt I owe for a payday loan. We DO NOT get locked up for owing a debt, that is straight from a detective I have spoken to about this.  If a number comes up that you don't know looking it up in the white pages or Google the number. That is a good to find out if they are real or not.
