Scam they try to to you that you didn't pay a payday loan. I've never had a payday loan in my life. They purchase your private info and try to con you . BEWARE

Exactly.  I had a similar call about a year ago.  They threatened that I had to show up in court in California (I'm in Indiana) to prove my innocence.  When I told them that no, they had to prove my guilt, they hung up.

Well sounds like you guys had it easy. I have been being harrased by these guys for over a year! They hacked into a payday loan company database that I had used once before and paid off sucessfully. I know this because it is posted in their office saying that if you get calls like this they are fake and gave steps on reporting them. They call me on my cell and my work phone. It is causing lots of problems. I really do not know what to do about it. Everytime I tell them that I have pulled my bank records for the time this loan was allegdy deposited into my account and have proof that i am never had money deposited from anywhere other than my employer. I also tell them that I have found other people online that they are doing the same thing to and that I have reported them for fraud and harrasment. But about every three months i get another call! If it was just my cell phone it would be one thing but they have my work number thank god it is a direct line to me however they have threatend to call and talk to my supervior if I didn't  comply. I told her what was going on and she said they wouldn't want to talk to her. But still it is a very unwelcom interruption. And they have called me from 5 or 6 different numbers.

Funny how similar all these posts are. "Shawn Smith" keeps calling me saying I owe on a PayDay loan they deposited on such a date. I pulled my Bank records and, as I expected, I had no such deposit. I did have a payday loan but have settled that debt. I have records to show it, but the caller claims that isn't valid. What a waste!

Once it even sounded as if the caller was on a cell phone out in the wind!

This company is a complete scam they say they are from Broad and Cassel out of California and there is not an office located there. I have contacted the law office and they are asking if there is anymore calls or scams from this number or any other number to call 305-373-9400 and report the scam to this office.
