    Junk Debt Collector Fishing for anyone with the same name.  Most states require a written notice of a debt before being harassed with annoying phone calls. If you do owe a debt or you are not that person, contact them to avoid a bad credit rating.

    "Most states require a written notice of a debt before being harassed with annoying phone calls."  Not true at all.  Federal collection laws (FDCPA) preempt state laws unless the state laws are more stringent.  Debt collectors are not required to send out dunning letters until 5 days after first contact.
