- IPayForMyCellPhoneSoStopCallingMe| 1 replyThis is an shady car warranty dealer. They have been calling my cell phone. I told them it was a cell phone, they said they'd take my name off of the list, but they've called me at least 6 times since thing.
It's an automated dialer, which its against federal law to dial a cell phone with. Just now when they called me, I asked for the name of the company they were calling on behalf of, and they hung up. - StopCallingMe replies to IPayForMyCellPhoneSoStopCallingMeBy the way, if anyone gets them on the phone again, pretend to be interested long enough to get their company name, because they owe me a fine for calling my cell phone, and I intend to collect. I have all the bills to prove it.
Say that it's really cool, and you didn't realize you could get a warranty after the fact, and just coolly ask what the name of their company is. You might get it that way.
I'll try it if they call me again. - BenReceived call from this number. Answered; and was greeted by 10 seconds of dead air. Calling side disconnected call

- MikeAnother idotitic auto warranty call. Answered it this time because it was same area code as Corporate office. First 5 words and I hung up.

- AnnoyedThey called our Backup OnCall cell phone and have a number of times previously. The promt states to select 9 to be removed from the list; I chose selected #1 instead to get someone "live". Someone answered and I asked to be removed from the list; they promptly hung up on me. I think it used to be the scam warranty thing - this time it was about lowering your credit rate. Wish there was something that could be done to stop these people - very annoying.

- theywontstopcallingi get this recording about lowering my interest rate on my credit cards and i then i press 9 to be removed and they call right back 5 min later and then again a few days later so i press 1 to talk to them and the girl hangs up on me.

- SusanObviously, this number is still actively calling people. Didn't pick up but noted the number from my caller ID.
- SeridariI answered the phone. I know that as soon as I say hello, the computer will start talking because it is programmed to detect any kind of sound(I get a few calls every week). When you answer the phone but say nothing, it will hang up itself.
Next time I will say i am interested and give fake numbers and everything. They are stealing my time.... So do I :)- Call type: Telemarketer
- VBThey've called me three times so far today. I have a prepaid cell so I can't waste minutes trying to speak to someone there.
- WV_BOBRecording answered, said please stay on the line for important message about your credit card. I had no intention of waiting but a lady came on the line just as I was hanging up. I said hello and the lady said she was calling from my credit company because I had been prescreened to get a better rate on my credit card. I asked her which one? She stuck to her script I guess and just said that they had been monitoring my credit score and that because I managed my credit so well I was garaunteed to have my interest rate lowered on my card. I again asked her which card she was calling about and she said if I would give her my account number she would tell me how much my interest rate would be lowered. She said the more accounts I had the more accounts they could lower. I would never give this out over the phone but didn't tell her that. I just asked then what company she was calling from. She ignored the question and told me that I had been specially prescreened for the offer but I had to act today to take advantage of the offer, that the credit card company would revoke the offer at the end of the business day. I again asked which company she was calling from. She definitely started to get ruffled and just said that she was from a clearinghouse that represented all the major card companies and that if I wanted to take advantage of this offer I needed to start giving her account numbers and my social security number so she could start working on reducing my rates right away. She agin reminded me that the offer would expire and the close of the business day today. I told her that if she new my credit score improved she should already have my social security number. I told her that I would have to know the name of the company she was working for before I could give her any info on myself. She hung up
This is more than just a company calling people on the DNC list, they are out and out trying to commit fraud, I can't believe they can get away with this and I wish I knew what I could do to stop them.- Caller: Would not divulge

- SusanTo above post from WV_BOB--good job! A least you wasted some of her time too. I posted about this phone number yesterday on this site. Doesn't anyone know how to stop this? This is happening at my work number and sometimes I get valid callers from all over the country and it really is a waste of time to get these interruptions.
- DocCalled my work cell phone 13 times today! I am a physician & my phone is my life line a lot of times & the only means of communication for my patients, not to mention my children, to get a hold of me. They did not leave a message, but called one right after the other. Very annoying!
