Same thing as all the above statements. Comes up as Parker Smith from the number 818-870-9258. Never leaves a message and call once a day. I haven't been home until today to answer the phone to no reply on the other end. I tried calling and it wouldn't go through each time. It would just hang up on me. Ugh!

Same as above.  Parker Smith comes up on caller ID.  Have not answered and will not.  So tired of this.  We are on the "no call" list and we still receive telemarketer calls.  It should be illegal - period!

It's a travel club scam. The telephone room is in Florida with the presntation room in Irving, Texas. It's a sacm. The previous company at this location was indicted. Don't fight with them, tell them you are an "NQ" which is not qualified because you are in the business. They don't want to waste time with people who they can't get paid for but will sell your name as a great lead if you fight with them.

    Tired of Telemarketers
This is some kind of travel promotions company based out of Los Angeles. Everytime I answer the phone there is some person on the line trying to sell vacation packages and when I ask them not to call me they hang up. I am expecting a call from them today and will be telling them to "take me off their call list"; by law if you tell them to take your name and number off THEIR list, they have to. Also tell them that if they do not stop calling because you are registered on the national do not call list that you will be seeking legal advice. We will see if this works. I will keep thisblog posted if there is any success to this.

I've posted enough comments on this, so I'll keep it short.
Qwest only lets you block up to fifteen area codes w/prefixes at a time.  At least the rogue calls always produce the "distinctive ring" which warns us never to answer it and to block its area code and prefix immediately (as long as it doesn't block friends and other potentially legitimate callers). Does anyone know if there is a telephone that recognizes "toll free" distinctive rings and can silence them, or even automatically answer with a telephone-company sounding "the party you are calling is not receiving calls at this time" sort of message?  The only other thing I wonder about, can the phone company set your service to automatically block ALL "private name"/"toll free"/ etc. callers without even ringing your phone?  That would be ideal.  If not, then perhaps it's time to cancel our Qwest telephone service and hook up via some cheap Internet "telephony" service that allows you to keep the same phone number.
