Called several times no message left

Call but didn't leave a message

They have called me 10 times today alone. The last 3 times I have been able to optimistically, and excitingly answer the phone. They don't say anything they just keep the line open and then it's disconnected.  Prank call or car call you are not doing a good job either way. ; )))

Just acquired a credit One BankCard in June 2019.

Signed up for online billing, never received a bill.
They called today, and apparently, I missed the payment that was due 8/6/19. No problem I offered to pay the past due amount. In addition to their $75 annual fee, they wanted a late fee of $28 . The offerred to waive the late fee, but wanted the August and September payment, plus a $9.95 to pay over the phone. Uh, no sir, I'll pay from my bank and you will get an EFT at no charge to either of us.

They have a high annual fee, and after the first year, an annual and a monthly fee. Watch your statements. Pay ontime via the app or your online login.

This is what bill collectors due.
1:If they don't get ahold of you, or leave a message why they called, by law they can't call again for say 24 hours.
2.If they get your VM, they can't "verify" you as a cardholder, so they will not leave a message that they called. This allows them to call again and again on the same day, until they reach a human.
3. If they can't verify who you are, or if you do not verify, they will continue to call the number on record.

i find it interesting that they will call you from a local number (that is what they did to me), becuase people are more inclined to answer a local number thinking its local firend, family or a business they requested information from. I'm good with that, but don't block the caller ID cause its a good chance im not answering due to the amount of spam I get.
