Don't trust this number that sounds like a scam

Got a call  asking for work as they took on a project they could not handle....Im in california....not texas...seems like a scam

I got a call from these people August 8 2012..I am a contractor...they perceive to have too much work to handle and want help getting caught -up.  Scam  suspicion ....pass it on  be careful of these cretins.

They called with a message stating they were overloaded with work in my area, caller ID showed Arizona number, the number left was a Texas number...something is fishy!

I'm a DJ. Got a call from a local phone numbert 520-208-2028. A recoded message said they needed someone to help them with their excess work orders. I don't like recoded messages.

I live in 831 area code and 426 is a common prefix here. I tried both ways, got no answer and no voicemail. I got suspicious so I looked up the number. Thanks for the confirmation that this is most likely a scam. The msg. I got was identical to others who have posted here.

I got the same message too. I own a small event company in Cleveland, OH. I suspect that this call was in response to some Craigslist posts that I responded to. Now I feel that there is something very fishy with those Craigslist posts AND this caller. Caller was in Arizona. Number I called back was a Texas number. No answer. I suspect that it was in response to some Craigslist posts that they made. Something isn't right here....

Just got a call from this number saying about having to much work in our area (i work for an architect)... glad i looked up this number.....

I received a call from this number saying if my  cleaning company wanted business for a group of banks who have  properties that need cleaning.  They have a back log of 6 months of properties.  They indicated that the bank requires background checks for my employees at a cost of $99. .  Then to boot they claimed this was required by the FDIC.  I explained to her what the FDIC is and how it was not related to obtaining services.  I know, I am an ex-bank (state) auditor.

I got the same call as Viv, only she claimed the banks required the backround checks.

Received call as well. In Georgia says in our area....Texas?? Not right!

Architect here and received the same message.  Indicated they have too much work in our area - in this economy? (chuckle) - and needed someone to take over and complete their projects.

Got the call - strange yet so innocent sounding.  Sly like a fox sounding too but I do smell a rat so I did not return the call and won't.   It was probably a machine making the call and leaving the message because by the time my message started to record he was half way through the message so he must have started it as soon as my machine picked up instead of waiting for the beep.

Yeah, I smell a rat too!!!
