Caller said his name is "Michael James."  Didn't give me the name of the company he was calling from, only referred to it as, "our firm."  When I called the number he left on my voice mail (281-617-7549) it said MWS Financial Services.  I did a little more digging and found out MWS stands for Murray White Services.  They are some type of debt collection company but they don't appear to be legit.  The address is 2740 Gray Falls Dr. Houston, Texas 77077.

I just received a call from Michael James claiming to be from MWS Financial Services. He told me I had a payday loan that was in default.  He stated that I had to pay $870.00 by 11:00 AM the following morning or an arrest warrant would be issued and I would have to post bail & eventually they would get their money through the court system. It was so scary as he had so much information.  By the end of the call, I was in tears, but suspicious. So, I checked online & sure enough found a lot of postings regarding this scam. They are very sneaky, calling me at 7 in the evening and giving me a deadline of 11:00 the following morning. That gives you very little time to check everything out. Anyway, beware if you get a similar call.

I just received a call from this number, not sure of the mans name but was told that he was trying to spare me the embarrassment of being served a warrant at my job on Thursday @ 1:00.  I hung up on him and checked my counties records and nothing has been filed.  Then I looked the number up and found this.  Great way to end a hard days work! Lying jerk!
