today is the third time in three days that this purported United Healthcare phone number has called. it was confirmed to me by United Healthcare that it is a SCAM.
when one of these scammers called me today, it was some guy with an accent from an African country (Nigeria?). i had some fun with him, and, can you believe it, he hung up on me. I CAN'T GET NO RESPECT!

These scammers call on several different numbers.

I called uhc and confirmed this is not a scammer!

Claimed to be United Healthcare, left recorded message.  SCAM!

Same here. When I told him it sounded like a spam call, he hung up.

Called and said they were United Health and had important information, but found this was a scam and not United Health

Second day in a row received a call from so called United Healthcare. Blocked first call and reported as spam. Second call today left voice mail for me to call. My insurance company assured me they would only call me from number on back of my card. And no one from UHC had called me.

This is not United Health Care

Continuously call me claiming to be from UHC.  They also seem to know some information about me that they should-not have access to.

I got a call from this number and let it go to voice mail - said it's a "courtesy call" from UHC. I blocked the number.

I'm correcting my previous post - call actually came from 833-233-5239 which is reported as "(833) 233-5239 is a Foreign Language Call" and is definitely not legitimate. Voice mail said to call them back on 833-233-5087.

This has happened to me with that number 833-233-5087 since last Thursday
And 3 times today. I called UHC and they told me that number is nowhere in their system/ SCAM .
But they also had my personal info
And my emergency person’s name-scary.

Said they are UHC from the refill department

Very strange - called had my name, birth date, name of Pharmacy I use, stated that one specific medication (specific dosage) is due for refill (it's not).  He had a very heavy foreign accent, lots of "boiler room" noise in background.  Stated HE would call the specific Pharmacy while I held on the line, and HE would order the refill.  I told him I was recording the call, and I hung up.  Called United Health Care - says they have received notifications about these calls, and they do NOT originate at United Health Care.  Can't figure out the scam.

Received a recorded call from 833-233-5316 and was asked to call 833-233-5087. I called and got a recorded voicemail answered saying they were closed and are open 8:00 am to (I forget the closing time) Central time, Monday through Friday. I called again a few days later and got hold of someone with a foreign accent who claimed to be Rebecca. Had information about my prescription, pharmacy location saying she needed to update UHC information and that I had a prescription up for refill and would call to refill it for me. I told her not to call but she called with me on the line anyway. I kept interrupting the automated pharmacy questions (which continually asked me to repeat until it finally hung up). She then continued to press me to let her call and said UHC information had to be updated or I would continue to receive calls from UHC. I asked for her name again and she said Rebecca. I asked for her last name and she said Burville. I spelled Burville and she said that was correct. When I said I thought this was a scam call she repeated that I would continue to receive calls and then hung up.

Second call I received from so called United Healthcare. The first call was 833-233-5239. Two different people but both left the same message to call them. SCAM

at 6:00 a.m.......i received a recorded message on my phone from someone claiming to be United Healthcare, 833-233-5239. they wanted me to call them at 833-233-5087. my first clue that it's a scam is "what irresponsible business is going to call you at 6:00 a.m."! i now have them blocked.

Absolutely keep calling me also. Don't know what they expect to get, but I hung up! So annoying!! Blocked!!

I received a call from this number at around 10 AM, but they were blocked and were not even able to leave a voice message.

I would like to know who the mole is at United Healthcare who has given my personal information to these SCAM artists!
