Or it's a scammer spoofing the phone number.

Call came in on my dumbphone (flip phone) which only shows the incoming number, and since I did not recognize it I did not answer.
While I was looking it up here, the voicemail notice chimed and I played it back.; in this case it was a valid call from Kaiser Permanente reminding me of a test I am due for (they have already emailed me once and called on at least two other known KP numbers about this).  This is the first call I have received from them on this number (I already have 15 numbers that they use in this area stored on my phone, if they have a problem with my not answering their calls they should quit changing numbers).

While this was a valid call for me, it does not mean that this number could not be spoofed by scammers to try to phish personal/medical information from people.  Take care.

Called four times in a row on a Sunday. Wanted to get all of my personal information updated will take 20 minutes. Feels like a total scam.

I’ve gotten calls from this number before and I have them go straight to voicemail. They say they are Kaiser Permanente but it sounds like kind of a scam. When I usually get calls from Kaiser it will say Kaiser on my caller id and if anything I’ll check my Kaiser app for any new messages.

This is annoying and confusing! I am a Kaiser member and this call said KP and when I google it, it says Kaiser in a city hundreds of miles from me. I answered and nothing. I only said hello and waited..nothing. I hung up and no further calls. IMHO it is some kind of scam. Call the number on your Kaiser card ONLY!!!!

Call back gets, "You have reached Kaiser Permanente's Appointments and Advice Center."  It goes on to instruct you about calling 911 if an emergency, then gives you choices depending on the purpose of your call.  However, as you so wisely advised, it's best to call the number on your card if you have any concerns.  Any number can be spoofed and scammers are clever.

Called from this number said I have a rejected health insurance claim of $2xxx from Kaiser. I said I have not claimed anything and the guy on the phone was surprised and asked if I had surgery recently. (I haven’t) then he acted concerned that I may have had identity theft. I realized it’s a scam even tho it’s from the Kaiser number is that they use a name I commonly use but not one I use for my medical records.

It's listed as a legit Kaiser number but I do believe it had been compromised and spoofed.  Get many calls with no voicemails (real Kaiser calls always leave voicemails), and when I picked up one time, broken English guy tried to speak Chinese to me but I declined.  Called kaiser as a follow-up and confirmed they never called me.
