Got a text from 833-658-0816 with the message:
View your receipt from TEE DEE NAIL: https://www.clover.com/p/GSPS5MC2K674Y View our privacy policy: https://www.clover.com/privacy
Clover.com is a valid payment service, but I did not purchase anything from TEE DEE NAIL.
The number is an 833 number making it suspect.
I believe that this is a phishing attempt. Maybe to get me to give up my credit card number.

They sent a text stating this is my receipt for a payment at City of San Augustine.
I have no idea who this is.  Sent the same text from another number 833-658-0797.

I got a text from this number saying "view your receipt from SUPER BOTANICA LV:  https://www.clover.com/p/3E2WJEW20VB06  View our privacy policy: https://www.clover.com/privacy"
thinking it's phishing

Or someone entered the wrong phone number.  That is a valid receipt from a legitimate company.

I received a text stating this was a receipt for Austin Texas Mechanic with https://www.clover.com/p/WQWT0DX6HEFPC. View our privacy policy.  I did not click on link.

I did and it is a receipt for $20 at Austin Texas Mechanic with a debit card. Most likely someone misdialed or got a number wrong.

I got 2 text messages. One gave me a link to a receipt for kava bar.  Another text with a link asking me to view my receipt for this "kava bar"   I have not clicked on either link.  I have never been to the kava bar. Why should I click on these links?????

Once again, a valid receipt from a credit card processing company.  Receipt for $51.96, Items New York Steak, Bacon, and Chicken Heart (yuk).  Cashier was Brenda.  As was previously posted someone entered the wrong phone number.

Text received. "View your receipt from VALENCIAS CARNICERIA..." With a link to a Clover receipt. Except I've never used Clover, never been to a Valencia Carniceria in Citrus Heights, and the last 4 digits supplied for the credit card don't match any card I have. Seems ib line with the other reports I see here.

Mine was a receipt from EL CHARRITO TAQCUIRIA via clover.com.  i did not click through but i previewed the link by holding down.  I was a $2K taco bar, so obviously this made me a little nervous, but it is located in the area code i am from, and i no longer live there so it makes sense that this could be a misdialed receipt number.

Rec'd a text to view a receipt from Miami Union Academy through Clover. I did not click link, but did check my bank statements. No payments were actually made. This is a phishing text. Miami Union Academy is a real school in FL. Upon looking them up, I would NEVER support their school. Also I live in MN.

Received text from clover.com for a receipt from Premier Medical Aesthetics - never went there, never used Clover.  Reported as spam and blocked number

Unless you own a business that takes credit cards you would not be the one using Clover.  I'm guessing that you also never heard of someone dialing a wrong number?

I did not click the link because I do not know this company. I have been in the house all week...so I did not buy anything to need a receipt.

Once again I guess no one in the world has ever heard of dialing a wrong number.  Why is that?  Are people really that ignorant?

I got a text from that number (833.658.0816) to click into my receipt from J Christine Salon. I've never been here and a google search shows it's in FL.  Yes there are wrong #'s, but are people that ignorant that numerous people getting a bogus receipt from the same # wouldn't alarm them as phishing?

I'm not following your logic.  The texts are sent out by a valid credit card processing company that operates nationwide.  They use one number to send those texts out regardless of who the client is.  The phone numbers are entered by the business when they process the transaction and instead of getting a paper receipt you get an electronic one.  Not too hard to figure out.
