There trying to say it's for a judgement of some kind I have know clue then they say money gram them money or I'll go to jail lol I don't think is a scam

They are calling me also and saying there is a civil suit against me. Gave me this number and said it belongs to a Mediation office and gave a case number also. I don't have a glue of what they are talking about.

This phone number supposedly belongs to a Patty Burke, who claims to be a "mediator". She contacts individuals as a debt collector; and when the person(s) questions her in regard to the claims, she harasses them and threatens to have them arrested. First of all, a "mediation service" is a third party entity who assists two parties in resolving some specific conflict, where both parties are in contact with the mediator throughout negotiations. A mediator is not hired by one party, as in this scenario. Secondly, this person is practicing illegally under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Any communication by a debt collector to third parties is restricted under the Federal FDCPA. It wasn't until pressure was applied to Ms. Burke from the local district attorney's office when she decided to "close" this case. This individual was completely unprofessional, even laughing at and mocking my client. Do not give in to her harsh and even obscene threats.

Do not agree to pay or make any assumptions that you will pay. Do not take ownership of any debt with this person. Just tell them to take you to court. If you were to have a civil suit against you, you will be served by local law officials. Do not fall victim to this scam.
