- MamaJ| 1 replyRec'd something in the mail from "Maxsip Telecom". Mailing provided a reference number and said to call 1-833-753-8353. When I called, an Oriental woman answered the phone like it was a casual phone call & not a legit business related call. (Didn't state business name.) She fumbled around on her computer for over 2 mins, before I decided to hang up. Something seems really off. I've never heard of this company before & if I was indeed a customer of theirs like the mailing states, they would have spelled my first name correctly. Just wanted to leave this comment to warn others in case you come across this number.

Don't want to tell what it said that caused you to call them in the first place? That seems more suspicious than your 'story'.Quote:Rec'd something in the mail ........ - Dave.Same as Mama J..

I received a flyer in the mail from a company called Maxsip telecom. It said that my free Internet was provided to me as part of FCC’s affordable connectivity program. If I would like to continue using their service without any disruptions, call this number. 833–753–8353. I called the number and the young man that answered was not very professional at all and I knew something was not right about it. He said that they would continue my Internet service for my Free Tablet. I told him that my Internet service was not through them anyways. Then my cable company told me that my Internet service had been transferred to this company. I never authorize this and they are scammers.- Caller: Maxsip Telecom
- MikeHuntleton replies to Marti M| 2 repliesDisappointment in your service provider doesn't make them scammers, especially if they are giving you something for free. If you don't like getting something for free, you know you don't have to use it.
- Marti replies to MikeHuntleton| 1 replyThey weren’t my service providers! They were claiming that they were….And then my they transferred my service to them.
And that my friend is a scam….. - MikeHuntleton replies to Marti
If your service went to another company, that has nothing to do with you unless they decided to charge you. How can you be scammed if no money is involved?MartiM wrote:Then my cable company told me that my Internet service had been transferred to this company.
Companies are bought and sold all the time, so informing you of the transition from one owner to the other is what they have done. That is pretty much standard business practice.
