Received a text message from this number. Just asked me reply. I did not,

I received a text message from this number asking me to  provide feedback  about my AAA call i had made yesterday.  I new the link could be phishing because it didn’t look like a AAA phone number because it had a +1 in front of it. . I didn’t tap on it. I called the number and it was disconnected.
The thing that scares me is how did they know I made a  AAA call the previous day. Does that mean these scam artist can already read my phone.?

+1 is the country code for the United States and nothing new. This is not a scam. This is a legitimate survey that AAA themselves sends out after providing you with service.

Ignore the rude person.. same thing happened to me (I got the text) and the link just looked too weird. It IS scary they know! Thank you for your post.

Same here.... How do I get it to stop without interacting with them?  Just ignore it I guess.

Unwanted Text Messages

Forward unwanted text messages to 7726 so that carriers will block them. Some carriers do not accept that code and if that is the case then contact your carrier about how to block unwanted text messages, however 7726 is accepted in the US, Canada, and Great Britain. Also, never, ever click on a link in a text message as it will probably install something nasty to your phone that you really will not want to deal with and never, ever respond to one because lets them know that they have a good number with someone on the other end.  It will result in more calls and texts.

I received a phone call voice message from this number on Dec. 15, 2023. It was asking for a Ryan Haddix which is not my name. I have received other calls for this person both from this number and concerning other things so ATT may have given my cell number to him or vice versa. Calls from this toll free number sometimes ask for a social security number or something similar. The man's voice sounds like a foreign accent and is difficult to understand. It says Ryan has provided false information and something about an attorney and bring 2 forms of i.d. when coming to office. It has made 2 attempts to contact him it says.
 If I can find a way to report this to ATT also I will but their customer service is not very good and I don't have time to deal with them.

Just a follow up to my earlier comment. The text I received from 833-784-0781 was a legitimate follow up to a AAA service call I made earlier this week asking for a rating.
  The information I gave earlier was from 678 541-8390 which I found out was a harassment call from Georgia.  The number had a blocked symbol in front of it so I don't know how it got through unless I blocked it afterwards.

I had the same situation - this number is asking for feedback on a recent AAA service, which was never scheduled or completed.

Same. I used AAA Service, then completed a survey. The next day, received text from 1-833-784-0781 asking to click here to provide feedback on the service received on 10/08/24 - they knew the date. Raise your hand if you're sick of these people? Time to change my number and email address.

Looked it up and noticed its a scam.

Used AAA Roadside Service yesterday, got a survey link from this number today.  Actually, looking at the chat history, I've gotten links every time I've used them.  Followed the link, it's a legit survey with no monkey business.
