After receiving the same text message as BJH reported, I received two more telling me to gather my party and find the host to get the next open table. It acts like it's a restaurant but I didn't register with one.

Same msg as the others about the TXRH wait list.  We go quite often to our local Texas Roadhouse,  but my bf swears he didn't call them today.

Told me I'm on the waitlist for some place that I never heard about.

Texas Roadhouse is a steak restaurant and is often busy, so they have an option to "get in line" to reserve a table by text. Doesn't take a genius to figure out they probably misdialed a number.

Called it back and it’s a bogus number

It’s a legit number that TXRH (Texas Roadhouse) uses for their call ahead seating. We received a message earlier today saying that our reservation has been received. Then we got another saying to gather our party. We just received a call from the actual restaurant and he confirmed my earlier thoughts, someone making the reservation, fat fingered their phone number.

Or the person @ the restaurant fat-fingered the number when entering it into the system.
By the way, why are you here? You already know who called & texted you so why would you look up the phone number?

Got a text saying "You're on the TXRH waitlist", "You've been successfully checked in!", "You're moving up the list", and "You have been successfully removed from out waitlist".  I never went to Texas Roadhouse.  No charges on my credit cards.  They need to get their system checked.

Maybe its not about their 'system', but rather about people giving them the wrong number or not annunciating it properly to the Host/Hostess. Wonder how dumb a person has to be to read others who said as much and still thought "Duh, I better let people know about dis!"

Bogus Number When Called. It’s NOT a Texas Roadhouse Number….. I Have Been There Before & Received Texts From A Whole Different #…. This One Is Close, But Bogus!

Definitely not a scam.  It is the number that Texas Roadhouse uses to send info to those who make a reservation through the restaurant's reservation app or website.  What may happen is that someone uses the app and mis-enters their own number.  Or, yes, if you call the restaurant directly, someone may type in the number incorrectly.  And, yes, look it up!

Has anything happened when you’ve got that text I just got it and I was confused. I’m only 14 and sort of freaking out right now and I texted removed and deleted the number. Will anything happen?

No worries. Read the other posts, likely a mis-dial or a wrong number. Ignore the call and you can block the number if you like.
