They contacted my mother on her cell phone n late may. I cld # mike told me they were suing me 4 $2300+ 4 a cc i opened w capital 1 in 2009. I told him the only time i had a cap 1 cc was n 2002-03 limit $300. He insisted i did it n 09. They have cld my job twice telling my bosses they would get me there. Rick sanchez w leahman n assoc left message w my boss again 2day saying they would pick me up there. Same phone # n case #. This debt is almost 15 yrs old. I could lose my job because of this. What should i do?

File a suit under the FDCPA.. call them.. tell them you want to settle.. they will be stupid enough to give you their address.. DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING OVER THE PHONE.. ask for verification if debt by email.. tell them that under the FDCPA.. they are not to ca you at your place of employment again.. document it.. document date, time and who you spoke to .. most likely will get nasty with you when they do escalate to a manager.. they won't document that too.. document any threats.. and you could even advise them your recording the call.. if they refuse tell them to quit recording you.. if they refuse add that to your documentation and claim

HARRASSING FAMILY AND FRIENDS - threatening asking for money immediately  - these people need to be reported by all who get a call from them
They say its about legal issue and to call 844-200-9571 and gave a reference number to give but my caller id said restricted number  - THEY WILL LIE ABOUT HOW THEY GOT YOUR NUMBER AND SAID I GAVE THEM MY FAMILYS NUMBERS TO USE AS REFERENCE

Left me a voicemail needing to get in touch with my mother. When I called back to inform them that I do not have contact with her, Nick rudely hung up on me twice saying it's my responsibility to reach her and inform her that she is being sued. I'm not responsible for her. He would not even allow me to talk and give him her number. He put it off on me to inform her or to have family tell her to call.
