Someone claiming to be from Windows maintenance company saying there was a virus on my PC.  When I asked which PC they said the one on your network.  I asked if they worked for Microsoft and they said no.  After several attempts on my part to find out what company they worked for, they hung up without letting me know.

Rec'd call from a man with a foreign accent claiming to be from Windows. He said that a malicious virus was being downloaded to my computer from the internet over the last 3-4 weeks. I informed him that I have a new computer that is less than 3 weeks old. He ignored me and asked that I turn on my computer so he can walk me thru the fix. When I told him to just give me the instructions and I'll complete them on my own - He Hung Up - LOL!!!!

woman  with extreme heavy foreign accent claimed that my windows computer had been hacked into.  when told I was at work said would call me back so i needed to be on my computer for her to walk me thru process. I will not be talking to her after work.  I think this is a scam for them to be able to get into your computer.  Don't do what they are saying

A man called and said that someone got into my computer and downloaded music or apps to it and I wouldn't be able to see them, but it's slowing my computer down and could get viruses. He told me to go to my computer and he will walk me through steps that I'll need to do on my end. I wasn't home so he said he will call me back in an hour, but I didn't answer. Plus when I asked him where he got my ph #, he said 'good question', but didn't really answer...
