received a text from 71953 wanting me to call this number back. Justine, Assurance, a part of Prudential, is working on your insurance request and had a few questions. Please call 844-216-9450. I'm not Justine, nor did I make any insurance request.

Received same text today. Michael , assurance, part of prudential.!! should be scam.

Received same text (4/27/2020).  Almost called.  Good thing I checked online.  2 hours later they called me, but was using some spoof phone number to look like it's from within my state.

You think the idiot would at least know my name. Hahahahahahaha Morons.

Received similar text, w/o my name. (I guess the scammer reads this forum, too!) Checked w/ spouse, who did not request any insurance info. Researched online. Found that the only "Blair Assurance" is located in Florida and has been inactive for at least seven years. Furthermore, there did not seem to be any connection to Prudential. The only place "Blair" and "Prudential" appear in the same document was in a court filing regarding a woman  named Blair who had been denied collecting on a life insurance policy because Prudential claimed she and/or her husband misrepresented on the application. While it appears that the agent may have been responsible for the misrepresentation, Prudential won in court because the agent's notes on the husband's condition were not incorporated into the signed policy. Caveat emptor! Anyway, I do not see any valid reason to respond to the text, nor even to "opt out," because that would just confirm to the scammer that they reached a valid cellphone number. Interestingly, on the same morning, I received five bogus phone calls from a local number. I'm still wondering whether there might be a connection between the text and he bogus calls.
