- DEBAlso googled Lowes and screen immediately showed message to call Microsoft within 5 minutes. Due to my technological knowledge, I followed the instructions on the screen. I eventually was transferred to "SAM" who said he would fix my issues within 60-90 minutes, at a charge of $79.99 which included security protection for one-year. I asked numerous times if the individuals on the other line were from Microsoft and they insured me that they were. I followed thru with the charges...now realize everything I made ONE HUGE mistake. What is my next move to protect my identity? THANKS.
