I got a call that failed when I answered it.

Call from Strathmore Worldwide, trying to sell me a 'biography' in Who's Who Worldwide.  What a joke..SCAM.

Telemarketer left VM for biography.  LOL

Annoying telemarketer voicemail!

They called me at work and left a message congratulating me at being "selected" to represent my industry and telling me to contact them right away to be included in the Strathmore Who's Who Worldwide directory or I might miss the strict publication deadline.  What an "honor."  I deleted it.

Same exact call as Alison states. You can press 9 to be removed from the list and there is a confirmation message after you press the number that "you are placed on the do not call list." Some companies either add that "do not call" option so they can know you're a legit person and will call you back later, or they actually abide by it- so hope they don't call again.

Recorded message about some Who's Who "top 100" list in my industry. This is the second call I've received about this, although I don't know if they used the same number before. Total scam, I'm sure.

The 'who's who' list is a scam. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, former Soviet States sold off titles to the highest bidder. Big story on this on one of the evening news casts. Companies see a 'who's who' list on your resume & into the shredder it goes.

Got a call from this number at work. Looks like they left a message but they actually didn't leave one.

Received a call from 844-251-4526 - Strathmore.  Listened to message and pressed "9" to be removed from their call list.  Approximately 10 minutes later, received a call from 844-251-4525 - also Strathmore.  Guess that "Press 9" feature to be removed from their call list doesn't work very well.  

Called and must have been a pre-recorded message that left a partial message about calling as soon as possible as they work on strict publishing deadlines. Nothing else on my VM so not sure who they are......

Yep I also had a representative from Strathmoore Who's Who Top 100 trying to get my to write a biography or something.

It's a common scam. So common that it has its own wikipedia article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Who%27s_Who_scam

THIS IS A SCAMMER!! Let me say it again! This is a scammer! Con-Artists trying to steal you blind! Hold on to your wallet and do not talk to them or give out your information!! You have been warned!

Scam as noted above.  Couldn't tell if the voice-mail was a recorded message or not.  HEAVY Brooklyn accent.
