Received a call from My Lost Pet Alert.  Sounded like a robotic voice.  He said a dog in our neighborhood has been lost for 24 hours, gave the dog's name as Maverick and asked to call back if I had seen him.  Other option he gave was to call owner directly.  The whole thing smells fishy.

I got the same call so I did a little Google search and did indeed find my lost pet alert although I did not go on the site it does appear to be legit

Voice mail re cat missing, with lots of details. Call this number back, or it also gave the owner’s number. Street location was near me. Website given was mylostpetalert.com. Kinda like an amber alert for pets (though not as “urgent”). There is a website under that name.

BTW, I don’t know if this was a legitimate lost cat call or not....????

Caller ID came up VIETNAM.  Robot told about lost dog in area.  Really bad mispronunciation of local area.

Left a voice mail about a lost pet, cold calls for a lost pet, I doubt that's legitimate. Caller ID read, "Out of area."

"My Lost Pet Alert" states pridefully on its website that it will robocall "1000s of your neighbors" about your lost critter. Sad thing is, the call came in with a "800 Service" ID, which is a well-known source of bogus calls from "Microsoft" and the like. These people need to rethink their strategy.

I received a call from this number, but no message.  There have been a couple of lost dogs in our neighborhood, so it could, in fact, have been from this lost pet service.

I just saw this number call my fax machine. My fax machine number hasn't been given to anyone. Comcast is the only one who knows this number. Perhaps they are marketing spam software.

You actually believe that the only way that someone could call that number is if they actually knew it?
