This person said he had a claim against me?

Okay, did it sound like what the FTC describes?

I got a call from this number regarding a past due balance I was told if I did not pay it. They will take me to court and sue me. THIS NUMBER IS A SCAM!!! PLEASE AVOID. 07/2/15

Im sorry I got same call from 844-284-5754 saying I had balance  due from pay day loan so I called the actual loan co. they did refer me to same co that called me so I paid it and they sent me a paid letter ,,,, but of course there is a lot of scams out there I just called actual loan co before I paid them .... so if u get a call from debt collectors ask them for original loan co and call them first..... if you really owe a bill it doesn't matter  if its in collection or not don't be a dead beat pay it and get it over with.....we always blame debt collectors for our bills ,,, but the fact is were the ones taking these loans out and not wanting to pay the collections office they send them to when we default on them ....they are only doing their jobs people ,,, if they abuse it well just call and complain like everyone does...I used to do collections for a lil while and I know how it is and its not what a lot of people say, there is a lot of good respectful collectors that actually help ... so on that note ,,have a good day and remember to pay your bills .....thanks,,, Chris K..

Call came in at 07:15 hours saying he was in court and needed to talk.  I said there isn't any court open at this hour and he became loud and obnoxious saying it's court time where I'm at...of course I hung up on him.  Never heard of court clerks calling to collect any debt.
