Help spread the word and prevent someone from becoming a victim.

    Fact:
    • ANYONE who calls or emails you and says your computer called/contacted them is a SCAMMER.
    • ANYONE who calls or emails you and says your online server called/contacted them is a SCAMMER.
    • Windows Operating System licenses do not expire.
    • ANYONE who calls or emails you with a message about your computer having illegal activity, is a SCAMMER.
    • Apple will never, ever call you about alleged suspicious iCloud activity.
    • ANY Tech Support Warning pop-ups you get while accessing the internet asking you to call a number or visit a website, is from a SCAMMER.
    • Web Browsers DO NOT have the ability to determine and warn you your computer has an error. They can only warn you about a potential malicious website. A Browser is software that allows you to surf the Internet, not diagnose a computer or phone.
    • ANY Tech Support company that insists you need their services because of some error, outdated software or tries to convince you that you need to allow them remote access is a SCAMMER.
    • Nobody could possibly know if your computer or devices have an issue unless you tell them or gave them access.
    • Tech Support companies DO NOT call or email to give out refunds because they are "going out of business", or to "cancel a subscription".  Companies DO NOT give refunds unless they have to.
    • Companies DO NOT call to inform you that your subscription will be charged if you don't call back, only SCAMMERS do that. If you have a subscription with someone, they automatically charge you until you cancel it and they don't give a refund.
    • Only a Scammer would want Remote Access to give a Refund.
    • 3rd party Tech services DO NOT include Email account repairing or password resetting, since they can not access the email server unless it belongs to them.

Please read about how Tech Support Scammers operate the scams and warn everyone possible about them.

Called my DNC registered landline. A fairly typical, Microsoft owes you a refund scam with the same Robo voice and grammatical errors this Robo makes whether it’s claiming to be Microsoft, Apple, the IRS or Social Security.

Ditto!  Keep calling leaving this bogus message!
What concerns me, is that some folks might actually call them, and I suspect from there, they ask for your bank account to send the money to?!

    Not a moron
Total scam. Incoming caller ID was all zeros and then got a vm about then needing to charge me $300 to reinstate my computer service account. Left this number as callback.

I run a computer service company, so I'm fairly certain I'm not outsourcing my own break fix to unnamed randos. Nice try scumbags.

    Too smart to b scammed
Told me I paid $299 for some Microsoft service in 2016 which they want to refund. [Sounded unprofessional] I asked how was the payment made?. He said online. From which account? Plastic card, he said.  LOL. Which one? Debit, he said. He said my name and wanted me to confirm. I told him I need more information from him before I share anything about me with him. He wanted me to let him know when my computer is ON.

They wanted to charge $300 to my "bank card" for the protection of my computer. If I wanted a refund I would have to call them.

They have called me several times telling me that I had signed up for some kind of "subscription service" and that they would be charging me again unless I called their "customer service"  department to cancel.  When I called the number from my Magic Jack land line, Magic Jack blocked the call, stating that suspicious activity had been reported to this number.  Just for [***] and grins, I called the number back from my cell phone and a man with an eastern European accent answered the phone stating that they were Microsoft and that I had "subscribed" to a Microsoft maintenance service back in 2015 and to cancel it, I had to follow his instructions.  He then told me to simultaneously press the "open windows" key next to the CTRL key and the "R" key, which opens up the run subroutine in Windows 10.  He then instructed me to type in the run line the following:  www.teamviewer.us and hit return.  At that point, I declined, hung up, and googled the URL he had given me. That led me to the home page for Team Viewer 14, which is a remote access program that someone could use to access my files, passwords, etc.  The person knew my first and last name from my cell number, so he must have obtained it from some Dark Web "potential sucker" list.  Hopefully, others will read this before allowing access to their computer.
