they are scammers that make my computer freeze up

Our computer is locked up and we have this message to call 844-312-7480 in order to remove a virus that supposedly has entered our computer. It also shows www.filesecure.club.

locked up my computer, gave this number to call.  I know better than this, and interestingly this scam was just reported on my national news.  I called it anyway and called the guy some choice names and hung up on him.

My computer is freeze & I saw this phone #.  How did you unfreeze?  Thank you

Open up the task manager on your computer by entering ctrl + alt + delete. Click on the offending link, then end task. This should unfreeze your screen. If it doesn't, then shut down your computer, unplug all your cables and take it to a qualified bricks-and-mortar computer service center to have it debugged.

This happened several weeks ago on our PC---and we were able to get it unfrozen. We also ran a Malwarebytes scan on it afterwards to make sure it had not been infected.

The number which popped up on our screen was 844-452-4519. Both are security associated with a FAKE Microsoft security scam. Whatever you do, do NOT call them back!

Microsoft pop-up scam is using this number.  Do Not Call this number!  They are just stealing money!  Just stop the web browser and all is better.
