Hello, my name is Henry Roth, I am currently in the process of trying to locate an individual who is involved with a mutual client of ours. The client has requested the current location information of this person and they have provided this phone number as a way to get a hold of them. Now, I presume our mutual client would not have requested my assistance if there was not some type of miscommunication or lack there of, but my office is able to petition an associate and relatives report, as well as a location and information report on them, but before doing so we want to give the benefit of the doubt and try reaching out using the information this individual provided previously to the client one last time......(cuts off) - HarrassedReceived call a second call from; (844-339-9126) My mobile service has identified this number as SPAM. [IF this is a legal matter and they are a LEGITIMATE business, what is the 'name' of the business.]
[The law provides access; (an unsafe amount of access, to "my contact information"), through legal channels.] [The law also provides me legal channels to legal representation and rights not to be harassed, being subjected to knowing acts of fraud and extortion against me - from; individuals, companies, scams, fake collections, misrepresentation and false representation that they are a legal entity, business, company or representing the aforementioned.] It is unclear to me Why they called my mobile phone?! Why is this ambiguous voice message SO Long!!

- BigAThe fake process server/location finder extortion SCAM usually consists of the following:
They mention that they have received a Fax document or some sort of complaint and that there is a pending legal matter or action about to filed against you to create the sense of urgency. They tell you that they are a “process server” and cannot give you the particulars of the case since the file is sealed. This is simply ruse to get you to call another number (often with a made-up case number) where they will ask for money to “make it go away” (this is actually the same place, they work in teams, one pretending to be the server, and the other usually pretends to be a lawyer). They threaten to serve you at home or at work. They tell you that if they serve you at work then they will need a supervisor, security, or HR person there as a witness, hoping that will cause you to panic over the alleged embarrassment of being served at work. They also tell you that you will need two forms of ID. None of which is true. Process servers do not ever call ahead so that you can dodge them. Process servers get paid to serve papers, nothing else. They certainly are not going to pass up a paycheck by telling you that you can avoid being served, they are not going to give you an extra day or even a few hours to get a “stop order”. Court documents are time sensitive and must be served within a certain amount of time. Remember that you can always call the local courthouse to see if there really is a lawsuit that has been filed against you.
It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it. You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified. If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.
First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file complaints with the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

It's probably just some weirdo trying to collect on an ages-old debt and I consider calling them back and telling them if they want this information so bad then you can easily use a people finder website and pay $5 for a full report, so go ahead. I don't have money, I'm a broke millennial, leave me alone. - AnonymouslGot a call stating they r looking for someone thru a mutual client he has. Nothing was mentioned about person they r looking for. Couldn't speak good English plus the message cut off. I'm so sick of these scammers.

Hi, this is Dave DSR. This is gonna be my final attempt to complete the employment verification process for [My name], Again, this is Dave with DRS. I'm pretty sure tis is my third attempt to complete this process. This is gonna be my final try after today will be updated as a failed process. If you want help, please call 855-200-3739.
Then quiet, then it says:
Hi this is Henry Roth calling from the office of DSR. You are listed as a secondary point of contact. I am looking for a return call as soon as possible to assist with location information as well as contact information. You can reach me directly at 855-200-3739.
Then they hang up.
If you stay when they call, if you press 1 to actually talk to someone, it rings and rings and goes to voicemail for a Henry Roth.
The one time I got someone on the phone, they wanted my information for a very old debt. I told them if they had my contact information they could mail me proof of this debt and I would get back to them. They got VERY angry at me and demanded I pay now or set up a plan. I said absolutely not. I do not pay anything over the phone without confirmation I in fact owe a debt. They again wanted me to verify my information and I again told them if you have it, you will mail or email it to me. I then hung up.
They stopped calling for about a week. They tried calling an Aunt I have not been in contact with in several years who thankfully reached out to see if it was valid. They then called my sister who also contacted me and I confirmed with her this might be a scam. Once I saw this thread and saw it was the same name, I thought I would update with my experience as well as the numbers they used in my calls.
Also noted, they called using a local area code to my area. I did not include that as they are trying to either make you press 1 to get connected with them, or they want you to call them back on their 800 number.- Caller: DSR - Henry Roth
