They threaten me about sending me to court for unpaid bill but would not give me they’re address

I called back  cause I received a no caller Id stating an legal matter with a court case and if I didn’t contact it will be release forfeiting all my legal rights.  Giving me this number to call back. I called back nk sayjnf a word but itsounded like the same lady but a different name  and then I hung up called back several times hanging up. Then someone named Jessica gray answeeed They state they are office of regional out of Georgia . I asked for an address .. they hesitated and gave me a po box ... and I asked for a physical address she seemed to be annoyed and asked me what can I help you with?? I would think you would know ?? So I said what’s the place name again and she gave it to me and I said thank you and hung up

Called me & my daughter about 30 times combined (violation of my rights) threatening they had court docs, something to do w/Wells Fargo, Morris County NJ Courthouse. After about 30 calls I called NJ courts and there is NOTHING (which I knew but confirmed) under my name. Neither Essex or Morris counties. Contacted an attorney. I am going to sue these people. Be on the look out for my paperwork Jessica!

it wouldnt be at the courts that office files cases to the courts so if its there in their office that means it hasnt been submitted yet....they told my mom her case was IN THE PROCESS OF BEING FILED and not submitted yet but was going to be soon, this was legit becasue she knew exactly what it was for and remembered doing what they said she did, and they helped her take care of it there and ended up not submitting it

"threatening they had court docs"  That would indicate that they had already filed, because if they did not, then those alleged documents could not be "court docs".  We know you will not tell us who this outfit is and where they are located, which will prove that you are a liar.

They did as well. Contacted an attorney and they are in Violation of FTC laws.

I have been getting about three or four calls recently from the same number. Have you reported them?

Does anyone have actual info? They called me about a past debt. Called 4 of my family members looking for me and threatened to call my job looking for me. I am trying to file a case against them but I have NO INFORMATION to find them. No name no address no nothing.

Do you have info on them as I am trying to do the same as well. They called half my family.

No one has posted the information, and asking is useless, unless you think that they will be back for some reason.

One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.  They often call people that have never even been associated with you because they get erroneous information off of the internet.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid. 

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

I actually followed up with a debt collector attorney, who upon receiving the info I had which was just the phone number said they are a Scam and told me to reach out to my attorney general. They called many family members. They knew an awful lot about me, my family and my place of employment. And the debt they called about it correct but I cant find it on my credit or get ahold of the company that closed that issued a small payday loan. 2 or 3 years ago.

You paid an attorney to tell you the same thing I posted or you went to him to sue them?

Consulting with an attorney is what you do so they can decide of they want to take your case. Usually free to consult. He obviously did not since the number wasnt legitimate :)

I found an outfit in Amherst, NY which would put them right in the middle of all the other criminals pretending to be debt collectors.  It does not matter if the phone number is legitimate.  What matters is if you know who they are and where they are located so that you can serve them.  The fact that the number is not legitimate only solidifies your case.  I have found that some attorneys do not want to simply file FDCPA lawsuits as they feel it is not worth their time.  They want to add FCRA lawsuits as well, which I was told by one attorney is where the real money is and where they would get more for their time as they would then charge 40% plus expenses.

This company Regional Processing maybe a scam I paid $50 to them in now I'm regretting it these people call everybody that I knew they said I had a warrant for my arrest in the back of my head I don't think these people is legit I think they are a scam I still trying to get information about them nothing coming up I had a cashnetusa loan when I called them they said 279 I'm really pissed because they knew a lot about me why are they trying to get a extra 200 out of me they said the same thing Michelle said about her mom to me they gave a document about my payment plan in my heart something not right
