Called from a (209) area code but VVM said to call back 844-385-7764 and mention a reference number & if I didn’t call back the would contact my place of business.

It must be a scam call right I just got that phone call today as well and the voicemail said the same thing.

They call my workplace and I'm told later of the call.  Always give a file or reference number and this number to call them back and use the file number.  But they will never leave a company name.  These are scammers who get a name or SSN illegally then try to fish to get you to call them so they can social engineer even more info from you so they can steal your accounts, charge you for the phone call and generally ruin your life for a few minutes for their time.  They also will try to tell you that you are being fined or will be jailed unless you give them information.  Don't call them back.  You'll be sorry you did.
