Given as a call-back number in a scam that runs fake automated messages from CRA or Immigration Services that claim you have outstanding taxes, there are legal proceedings being held against you, etc. Ignore them or call the number back for some laughs.

I just received a call from this number saying they were taking legal actions against us.

Just got a call from this number 1 844 385 9042 on Friday, February 12, 2016. They were claiming my Dad owed money to the CRA and they were sending officers out to a house he
doesn't own to seize it, as well as they were going to his work and are going to seize his bank accounts.  I told them good luck cause my Dad sold that house almost 8 years ago, plus he pleased away 7 months ago, and I just closed all of his bank accounts. I told him I was calling my lawyer and he said go ahead. I may have been born at night, but it wasn't last night. I called the real CRA and they said this was 99.9% sure a scam.

Caller was an automated machine claiming that we owed CRA money which is laughable in itself. Very harassing ! This call and others like it that are trying to scam honest people should be turned over to the RCMP immediately which I fully intend to do.

We get at least four calls a week with a recording about money owing to the CRA and to call right away.

Received an atomated call saying that it was the CRA and they are proceeding with tax fraud against me. They told me that an officer will be coming to the house in a couple of days and within 24 hours they will be ceasing the house and all bank accounts. When I called the number back they said they had a claim against me for tax fraud. I told him that there was no possible way as I file every year and I go through an accountant. They hung up on me!  Lol

These people should realize that not all of the people are stupid all of the time.

Called my DO-NOT-CALL-IN-CANADA land-line at 14:12 Pacific today.
Automated voice left the tail-end of a "CRA/seize-assets/person-to-visit-me" message on my voice-mail, stating that I must call 844-385-9044 (not '9042') to talk to them.
