This number calls repeatedly and hangs up so as to leave several missed calls. I'm surprised there aren't more comments.

This number calls repeatedly and hangs up so as to leave several missed calls the last call is private. I called them back they claim to be a student loan forgiveness plan i just asked to be taken off the calling list.

This number goes with a student forgiveness program. They call 8 TIMES a day. It's harassment.

Some sort of Student Loans  program which is interesting b/c I don't have any loans

Company self-identifies as "Mentor Incorporated" when the number is called back, claims to be a student loan forgiveness and restructured financing service working with the DOE.

Called twice, back-to-back and hung up as soon as the phone rang. The last call left a voice message:
"Hello, this is Ashley and I'm calling you today regarding the review of your federal student loans. I just wanted to discuss the reduction of your federal student loans and also to inform you that do to some reason change by the credit administration, the federal funding supporting any rate or balance reduction of your loans may permanently expire soon. So, It's pretty urgent that you give us a call at your convenience. You can reach me or one of my colleagues at toll free 844 430 1649"

I had the exact same experience as Randal above me, except they only called me once hung up and sent the exact same voice message.

I had the same voicemail left as written above.  They have been calling everyday for the past week or two.

Called twice and hung up, left a voicemail that states:
"Hello this is Ashley and I'm contacting you today regarding the review of your federal student loans. I just wanted to discuss the reduction of your student loans and also to inform you that due to some of the recent changes by the credit administration, the federal funding supporting any rate or balance reduction of your loans may permanently expire soon so it's pretty urgent that you give us a call at your convenience."

I had the exact same experience, except her voicemail as cut off halfway through.

Called twice, back to back.  One missed call was standard number format (844) 430-1649 then next time was +1 (844) 430-1649.

Left half a message claiming to be calling regarding loan forgiveness.

I got a voice mail from this number. It's a company wanting to reduce interest rate on my son's federal student loan. I think it's a private company, not the company handling his loan.

Same EXACT message as this one and not one word different. This is a scam.

This is definitely a scam based on one of the above comments, which mentioned that the caller claim s to work with the department of education. The DOE will never contact you via your phone or email, for security reasons. And they don't work with third parties.  Their website mentions that anyone who claims to be with the DOE is a red flag scammer

This number calls literally 5 times a day - they never answer when I pick and actually just now is the first time they ever left a voicemail. They claim to be a company in review of my student loan forgiveness and say it's "pretty urgent" that I call back because my rate reduction may permanently expire soon. What a crock!

Yea i deal very closely with the people that handle my student loans.  Even have their cell phone #. This chick says her name is ashley and they are canceling my student loans....hmm kind of funny when my studebt loans people no nothing about this...my student loan is thru a company in FLORIDA!!! Nice try, not even the same area code or state
