Deleted it right away but overall it was about being sued..blah blah blah

Got a call from this number a few minutes ago. A poorly automated voice (like the ones used in old sci-fi shows) said 'you will be sued for tax evasion' and some other meaningless crap. Oh they try so hard don't they lol. Don't even mention a name to whom they're trying to scam, considering more than one person lives here and they don't even mention the person who's number this phone is listed under as a possibility. You'd think by now they'd find an original scam by now. Move past the idle threats that can be verified via mail, phone, web sites.
Remember: those that pay their taxes should always have a record/copy of the forms filed. Call your nearest tax office and verify your taxes were filed properly. Canadians get assessment letters from the CRA a short time after filing taxes. If you haven't got yours yet, call and ask about it. (depending on when you filed). I can't speak for other countries but know where your tax papers are for those 'just in case' moments. Don't let scammers fool/scare you out of money YOU earned, not them!
Report all numbers that show up on your phones or the numbers left in the messages that you're supposed to call back. Don't be scared to report it. Your hard work is YOURS not theirs!

Same robocall scam keeps calling from different numbers. Yesterday it was 844-434-0127, today it's 855-881-8196. Numbers blocked now.

Called me once yesterday and 3 times today. Being sued for tax fraud/tax evasion, I need to call to avoid being dragged into court, etc. Overall, a pretty poorly conceived phishing scam. I've reported the number to the RCMP.

Left a voice message telling me I am going to be sued for tax evasion. Horrible sounding automated recording. When will they learn.
