- Chanese JohnsonThey've been calling for a man named Rodney Carter for 4 years. I keep telling them obviously he doesn't have my number. They are ignorant and would laugh. I've asked them numerous of times to remove my number, but they won't.
- Caller: I asked and they wouldn't tell me
- LindaI received several threatening messages…..thank you for sharing about this scam……I’ve asked them to stop and remove my number
- Caller: 844-456-6473
- MThe caller keeps leaving me a message but when they say my name, it sounds like a robot saying my name. They claim they are calling from Cornell and Associates about a litigation matter attached to my name. The number they call form on the caller id is not even the same as the number they leave for me to call back. Even when I googled the name of the so called company the listed phone numbers are not associated with the company. This has SCAM written all over it.
- Caller: Cornell and associates

- sickandtiredofitallReceived two calls back-to-back (only 8 minutes apart) from 833-252-7890. Message left stated it was regarding an "urgent business matter being filed against your name" directing me to call back to 844-456-6473. Number is now blocked. I was recently notified by mail that my personal information was recently harvested in a computer hack at a medical facility that was discovered while transferring data. I've received and am signing up for one year of ID protection. I'm receiving a rash of similar calls from other numbers in the past month.

- AnthonyTHIS IS A SCAM CALL They are calling about old "zombie" debt from 12 years ago. I declared bankruptcy in 2012 and my debts were dismissed. I am NOT responsible for those debts since they are over 7 years old and the courts dismissed them legally! By law, a debt collector MUST send you WRITTEN notification within 5 days of calling you. They must list the name of the original company/person they are trying to collect for and the amount they are trying to collect. They have sent NOTHING since they know they cannot collect anymore on debts I no longer owe on. If you are really debt free---HANG UP AFTER TELLING THEM YOU WILL SUE THEM FOR HARRASMENT or do not answer the call. Scammers will record your voice and use A.I. to alter what you say so do NOT let them SCAM you!

- Kathryn| 1 replyAgreed on all of this. It sounds exactly like what I've been getting for at least a year. I did get in contact one time with these blokes and after many back and forths about how I wouldn't pay, they HUNG UP ON ME. If it was legit, they wouldn't have hung up.

Legally if you tell a debt collector that you won't pay they have to stop trying to collect the debt from you.Quote:If it was legit, they wouldn't have hung up.
