    FRAUD --
I got this call too.   I never answer a call from a number I don't know.  But they left a voice message.  They wanted me to update my Healthcare.gov information before the next open enrollment period and left a different phone number: 1-800-318-2596 to call back.

As you will see below, neither this number, nor the CID number are on the list of valid phone numbers.   Nor did they give a name number or agent number.

    I went to the healthcare.gov website (https://www.healthcare.gov/how-can-i-protect- ... ce-marketplace/).  Here's what it says:
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"If you get a call from the Marketplace

After you apply you may get a phone call from the Marketplace asking you to verify or provide more information. If we don’t have this information we may not able to process your application.

Follow these tips to help prevent fraud:

If your phone has caller ID, check the number. The display may show one of these:

       Health Insurance MP
       InsMarketplace
       701-264-3124
       606-260-4191
       479-877-3203
       636-698-6320
       580-354-7707

The customer service representative will say they are calling from the Marketplace and provide a first name and agent ID number. Write them down.

A Marketplace representative may leave a message on your answering machine. If this happens, you won’t be able to call back. If the Marketplace can’t reach you after 3 tries, you’ll get a letter in the mail telling you what to do next.

The Marketplace representative may ask you the following:

To verify your identity, using information you provided on your application, including your full name and address.
To provide or verify your Social Security number, application ID, policy ID, user ID, date of birth, or phone number.
To verify or provide income, household, and employment information, but NOT personal financial information, like a bank name and account number. They will also not ask about any personal health information, like your medical history or conditions. (If you’re applying for certain Marketplace exemptions, you may be asked to provide medical documentation.)

If you don’t want to answer over the phone, ask the representative to mail you a letter with instructions for completing your application.

In certain cases, the Marketplace may request additional documentation. If you need to mail any information to the:

    Health Insurance Marketplace
    465 Industrial Blvd.
    London, KY 40750-0001

Don’t mail any information to a different address. The Zip code may end with 4 extra numbers the representative provides."

    Forwarded call
Caller ID said it was a forwarded call, so I'm assuming that means it's a spoofed number. Message said to call a different number to update my information for health insurance on the federal exchange. I'm not calling back..

Have gotten a call from this number 2x times now.  Says they are from the insurance marketplace in messages left.  I do not answer numbers I do not recognise.  I listened to 1/2 of one message and deleted it.  Why would this number need additional information on me because my insurance agent just got my new insurance for the coming year.  If they really needed questions answered, they would call my insurance agent.

I just got a strange call from 844.477.7500.  Same thing as what I read above... he was asking me to verify information for my health insurance.  I told him I work directly with an agent and that I wouldn't be providing him any personal information.  He couldn't explain any further as to why they needed it, and he ended the call.

I was told that they were calling needing additional information for heathcare marketplace.  When I informed "John" that I had already gotten confirmation and asked what additional info was needed, he alternated between um and dangit for a good 45 seconds.  He then wanted to verify personal information.  I told him that he could tell me my current address and I would verify, but he said no and that I needed to provide the personal information to him.  When I told him he sounded disorganized and that I would call a known number back, he laughed and hung up.  Probably fraud.

I got a call from this number. It said that they were calling about my computer and sounded disorganized. So I hung up. Because no one should be calling me about my personal computer because I haven't taken it in for anything in years.
Probably fraud trying to get info from people.
I'll ignore it from now on.

It looks like they have switched from healthcare to computer infection scam.  Please do not respond to any of these calls that claim your computer is infected. They say they're calling from Windows, Microsoft, etc.  None of these entities will ever call you.  If you have a problem, you will need to contact them!

Left a message, voice was a nervous older sounding man and he seemed to be very unsure of what he was supposed to say. Said he was from the marketplace and that they needed more information and would call back again tomorrow, no number given to return the call. Never even gave his name. I called the Marketplace and they said all was well with my policy and it was a scammer. I picked up on lots of red flags from the guy who left the message in the first place which made me suspicious. My 1st rule is to NOT answer the phone when I don't know the number or caller. My 2nd rule is to NEVER call the call them back at the number they called you from OR the number they give leave for you on voice mail. Go to their website, find the REAL customer service number and call them back from THAT number.  I wanted to post this so anyone who looks this number up will know it is definately a BAD SCAM!!!

A male called 8 Jan from this Number, asking if I was who I was, and I asked who is this, his reply was Health Care Marketplace.  The person was very Pushy wanting me to answer a Survey, I said I would not Do a Phone Survey, he asked is this a bad time?, I said No that I would not do a Phone Survey, and I asked, if this was something he could send via Snail Mail, or by E-Mail and he replied No.  And then he asked, "Are You Refusing to Take this Survey", at that Point I Hung Up, added the Number to a Phone Number Block List App.   I would not have answered if asked, my e-mail address, or given my home mailing address.  I like pissing Telemarketers or Phishing Scammers Off.

    # called me
I got a call like this late last night and no one left a message. Then, I got a call this morning. The caller left a message. I saved the voicemail. The woman provided my name and was very vague and sounded like she was in the background of a room or far away. She left no name, agent number or any other identification other than she was calling from the Healthcare Marketplace. I called Healthcare Marketplace and they stated they this is not the Healthcare Marketplace and to not give any information and to call the Healthcare Marketplace if I have any doubts about the call. It was also suggested to call FTC at 877-438-4338. I received the call each time I was driving, while I took a different route home. The two calls were timely, leading me to believe this is not a scammer trying to figure out info and/or my whereabouts.

Anyone who received a call from this number should save your call log and voicemails if you get a call from this number and report it.

This is a legitimate call. I didn't answer but the lady left the number to call back. 800-318-2596. I searched that number and the first search result was Healthcare.gov. They need additional documentation from me to verify my income. There was also a message on my healthcare.gov portal for this.

This number called me at 9:44 at night. Legitimate marketplace callers would not call that late because they can only call  between 8 a.m and 9 p.m. I blocked the number.

I was sitting in front of a computer when this fool called and tried to scam me.  Said he is calling from Healthcare.gov and tried to verify my info.  I googled the phone number on my computer while he was talking, saw a list of scam post on this number.  So I played along when he asked to verify my address.  I gave him a fake address (so fake that I'm sure this street doesn't exist lol) and he said "Thanks for verifying your address" and continued to ask for verification of my date of birth and social.  By then I knew for sure this is a scam.  I told the dude I was going to call the cops on you for identity theft.  He hung up immediately.  What a tool.
