This is Badcock calling. I missed a payment and they called to remind me.

Because of caller ID spoofing (faking) there is no such thing as a 'legit' phone call on an incoming call. You can NEVER be 100% sure the caller is who they say they are if you did not make the call, looked the number up, and verified it. NEVER NEVER give out personal or financial information on a call you did not make to a verified number.

I just got my number 2 weeks ago & this 844 number is calling me abt past due account that's not mine! How do I stop them from calling me?!

well this CAN NOT be a "real" # WHY would a true company be called "badcock?" Really? Anyway: IT called on 4/13/17 @ 9 AM CT. We blocked it. Truly sick of all these B$ calls lately.

It is actual company, why they called it Badcock is beyond me, but they finance furniture, stereos, TV's and stuff like that, and say no credit is refused, they do unsecured financing and reasonable prices, but they are legit.

Repeatedly received this recorded message with "An important message from Badcock Home Furniture and More, please call us back at your convenience."   After 2 weeks of constant vmails (declined), I did call back and asked them to stop calling me.  After validating who I was and my telephone number (Not Jane Doe!), the Badcock person Raphael was very polite and professional and said they would update and remove my number from their call list.  Raphael asked if I knew or was (Jane Doe creditor) Apparently Jane Doe had used or mistyped MY telephone number on her credit contract and so Badcock was attempting to contact the nonpayer.
