Claims to be Caresource Health Insurance Company, but I called the company with their website phone number and they said it was not them and to not share any information with them.

I called Healthcare.gov and signed up for Caresource insurance, about a day later i started getting automated calls from this number claiming to be Caresource, stating that they needed more information.
What i want to know is how the scammers knew that i had just signed up for Caresource with Healthcare.gov over the phone ?

Just got a recording as well stating welcome new member, we need more info & to make sure you're getting what you need.

They just called again today

have been getting calls from this number and they say Caresource, and want to make sure that the member has what is needed. I am not sure if its a scam or not....

I am a new CareSource member and they called me.  I am not sure what to think right now.  They called and left an automated voicemail.  I will not call.  Sounds scammy and if I need anything, I will call the numbers I already have.

Never trust the call.  If you do answer & they want personal info, tell them thank you for the info, you will now hang up & call your real insurance carrier on your card to verify this info.  If it is real, the number on the card will take care of it for you.  If not, you know it's a scam.............. as this one is a scam.

This seems to legitimately be from Caresource. I read the comments here and called the number back, and got a legitimate "welcome" speech from an automated system giving me info on how to use my health benefits. At no time was I asked for any personal info other than my phone number (which they clearly already have). I also wasn't directed to go to any sketchy website, just the Caresource official website. Unless it's a scammer spoofing the actual Caresource phone number, this seems legit.

i got the same number, they wanted money and claimed to be microsoft
