What kind of babble is that? You couldn't post what the call was about instead?

Nevermind, I found a recording and transcribed it:

    Debt Extortion Scam

The vague scare tactic message is designed to panic a victim into calling back.

Most debt collectors will use a certain amount of pressure to convince you to pay the debt. After all, they often don't get paid unless you pay. Be suspicious of a debt collector who uses an unusual amount of pressure to get you to pay immediately, particularly if they also use scare tactics to get you to pay right away. For example, a debt collector is scamming you if it :
    • threatens you with a lawsuit and tells that you can avoid the lawsuit by paying right away
    • Says a Process Server  or Courier is coming with papers to sign
    • Threatens to call / go to your place of employment
    • Insists you have been notified, served or are non-compliant via phone message(s)
    • Refuses to give a company name or verifiable Contact source
    • Refuses to send proof of debt via US mail

A sure sign of a debt collection scam is a collector that wants to you to pay via wire transfer or another method that can't be traced. If the payment method can't be traced, you'll have a harder time getting the authorities involved.

If the creditor sounds completely foreign, or you know you never had an account with that business, there's a chance it's a scam. Never pay a collection you don't recognize. You have the right to request written proof of the debt from the debt collector before you send payment.

Same call as everyone else. I blocked the number.
The calls can be annoying but it's best to ignore Lance Fergusion and not engage in a conversation with them. I'm sure they will attempt to call again under a different number. I will not engage in a phone conversation at all with them. This is definitely a scam.p

If this was a 'true' debt collector, they are required by law to inform you that 'this is a call from a Debt collector.' Anything you say can be used to assist in collecting that debt.

So here is what is likely going on.  If you had a debt years ago, that is way past the statute of limitations, this is most likely what they are attempting to collect.  These Zombie debt collectors acquire this ancient debt at probably .01 on the dollar.  So let's say you defaulted on a 3000 debt in 2015 and the SOL is 5 years, that debt would be technically uncollectable.  However, if they get you to feel pressured, or you answer a question in a positive way i.e., say YES to something, they can and will use this YES to resurrect the Zombie debt and start the clock rolling again.  So they may have invested $30 and could possibly get $3000 out of it.  If you do call them, don't say YES or agree to anything.  Have them send you proof of the debt.  Don't give them your address, they said they had it right?  LOL.  Call them from some other phone # to, like maybe a google voice #.  Plead the 5th on everything.  Best thing to do, don't worry about it.  2nd thing, get your credit report and see what is out there.  Don't take for granted that it's clean, even though it should be.  I've had these calls surface about 1 time a year for a period outside of their '48 hours' and eventually they go away.  My Mom would even get them as they attempted to pressure her to get to me.  One said he was having lunch at a local restaurant and would be at her home to serve the papers.  To this day, that guy hasn't showed up; guess he is having a real long lunch!.

These vermin are seriously the scum of the earth.

False! If you owe the money, it is always collectable. If it is past the SOL, then they can't sue you for it. Maybe read the Laws before trying to preach them. Scroll up, I posted some useful links.

I have received calls from 866-884-8639 but they demand contact to this # 844-641-9462 saying the exact same message from Lance Ferguson Sr Claims manager but each voicemail is directed to a different person(NOT ME OR ANYONE I KNOW). I probably had 30 voicemails so I called to let them know I am not Stephanie, Diane, Jeff, Jabib, Juan, Kelly, Francis or any of these people that they are jamming up my voicemail trying to reach. The lady I spoke to said it was Alexander & ????? Associates. I asked if by chance they were trying to reach me for some odd reason and she said all snidely, Only if you know them and have used their DOB or SSN for something. I said nope never heard of them and I'd  appreciate if they could stop calling. Well she went from fake polite to a defensive bitty. Saying we have only called you 1 time. I politely said ok thank you, have a nice day. Very sarcastically she replied, Yeah I hope you have a nice day......Then nothing sat there breathing into the phone and she wouldn't hang up or respond to me saying Hello over and over.
So I don't know if this is a scam call or what but had nothing to do with me if that helps
