Fraud

Voicemail left asking for me by name saying they were from Capital One Fraud. I called the main capital one number and asked about it, they could not find any notes about an attempted call, and could not find any department listed with that number.

Called said they were with capital one fraud and I had fraudulent activity and wire transfers and wanted me to log in to verify. Advised couldn’t at this time and they just stopped responding so I hung up. Caller id did say capital one but they normally send a text to see if you made the charges. Not call so I was Leary.

I was in the process of doing a wire transfer, this MAY have been a legitimate call from Capital one But did Not leave a voicemail!!!!

I just received a two calls from this number (844) 730-0799 - the second immediately after the first one after the time allotted to answer had expired. I did not answer either call. It pops up as "financial services". If this is a legit call from Capital One, they will leave a message and/or send me a text and/or email. I've been scammed before by someone claiming to be to my bank's fraud department. Force them to leave a VM and don't call back their number but rather the banking institution/credit card company directly with the numbers you know are real.

It’s a legit Capital One phone #. I just confirmed it by calling Capital One using the phone number on the back of my debit card and giving the rep the 844 number.

I did a large wire transfer to my mortgage company from my CapitalOne account. Later I received a call from (844) 730-0799 and they left a message to confirm the wire and asked a few questions. I called back and they had my wire information and followed up with an email after the wire was processed.
