SCAM on mortgage loans/insurance, etc.

Elderly Aunt received postcard saying her mortgage was in default and to call number.  I pay the mortgage.  It is not in default.  She had nightmares about being evicted.  Not sure I've convinced her not to call the number but it is a scam.

Received an unsolicited post card in the mail. Wanting me to call about my mortgage not being paid. It is a TRUE SCAM.

Received postcard at my paid-for home but addresses to a different name.  Scares me that someone had falsely gotten a mortgage or ELOC on my house falsely pretending they bought it!!

Don't worry. It is a scam attempt. There is even tiny print on the front of the card that says this information was not provided by your current lender.

Received generic yellow postcard in mail. No identifying company to show who it is from. I'm not responding to it.

I received a post card telling me there was urgent business regarding my home loan and so I called the company I had my loan thru and they said this is a scam.  Same phone # I just got mail though.

Received a postcard from Equis Financial. This is a scam! I have reported this to BBB and they continue to send me mail.

Received generic yellow post card and various other mail regarding our mortgage, insurance, etc. Same phone number listed--844-748-0372.  No company name or logo. Total scam.

I received the yellow postcard today and was immediately suspicious... There's no company name and a mortgage number that I've never seen. I googled the number and found all of you, with the same complaint.  I decided to call the number to get a company name.... No company name was given, I was only able to enter the phony mortgage number, a recording then told me that I was supposed to receive mortgage insurance information when I closed my mortgage and that their records indicate I did not, which then led to more questions.... My age, gender and then I was supposed to answer a question about tobacco use and I hung up.
I really wanted to get a name of the company to get the their slimy a$$es out on social media and to file a complaint.... But, they weren't giving it up. I sincerely hope that no one gets suckered in....my grandmother has done things like this before and it frustrates me so much.

Received post card, this notice is regarding your mortgage with (bank).  We need you to call about important matter.....blah blah blah .  This is time sensitive!  Not from bank, nothing to do with bank.

So you are telling us that you, along with the other posters, received junk mail and didn't have a clue what junk mail is?

Yellow postcard, regarding a loan I never took for a mortgage.  I wonder how many people are falling for this… should be illegal.

If making something illegal actually deterred most crime we wouldn't need so many jails or judges to preside over criminal cases.

This is a SCAM

Received a yellow postcard in the mail that had this number and saying that I closed on the mortgage and that there was some urgent matter to discuss. There was NO return address or anything that suggested who/where it was from. I got suspicious and called my mortgage company (just in case something was wrong); they had no knowledge of it. So I'm putting this in the shredder where it should be.  Looked semi-legit with the Mortgage ID and the company I pay my mortgage to.

Scary to think how much information a scammer can find :'(.
Hopefully this (and the other posts above) will help people not fall for this.

I also received a postcard and asked me to call 844-748-0372. I recently closed a loan and they know the date when I closed it. But the mortgage ID on the card is wrong. So I didn't call back. I don't know how they get my the information.

Received a postcard regarding a recently closed Mortgage. Fine print at the bottom states “All information provided by H.W.C, 844-748-0372. Not affiliated with, sponsored by, and loan information not provided by Us Bank Na.
