They actually sent me an invoice from Paypal. Thinking that it was a fraudulent charge, I called the number. It sent me right to a representative. Red flag. No menus, no "please hold while we connect you to a representative." They told me that it indeed was a fraudulent charge and that I would need to be on my computer to cancel it. Red flag. I can easily access my account through the app or web browser. They gave me a website to type to cancel my invoice - "pa02.com". Red flag. I said I had another phone call on the other line and they pleaded with me to just be "put on hold." Red flag. I went to paypal myself and canceled the invoice and changed my passwords, added 2 factor, and upped my trusted devices.

Always be skeptical of the things you are sent.

How do you cancel an invoice that never existed?  Didn't you post this in another number the other day as well?

Chloe reported the right thing, this is an old scam, see: https://www.komando.com/security-privacy/paypal-invoice-scams/752199/ - canceling the invoice is the right thing to do. Calling the number from the invoice was risky if it is not from a known contact. I received a similar Paypal notification for an invoice with this same phone number to call.
