    I am getting texts - nycdcp/nyc ira alert change to my login, call the 844 number. well, I don't have an ira with NYC although I do have a NYC telephone number. seems like a scam to me

    844-773-6797 Emailed and sent a text to my cell at 12AM MIDNIGHT stating I’d made a request to change my IRA plan. I have been looking into IRAs, but midnight? Really? Legit or not, they’re not getting my business! Also, a quick Google search on the number pulls up Unity world wide ministries as “Empower Retirement.” Weird!

    I just received a similar text - with the same call-back number. An internet search indicates that Empower Retirement is a legitimate company, but this text does not appear to be from Empower - it looks like a classic scam under the guise of a legitimate name.
