- LJ| 2 repliesCall showed up on Caller ID as Unknown Name 844-850-3565, so I let it go to my answering machine, because I didn't recognize the number. A message was left stating that they were calling from the Tax Fraud investigation Department of Internal Revenue service of Treasury and they were investigating me for tax fraud and I or my attorney needed to call them back at 844-850-3565 to save my good name. Blah, blah, blah. They are the ones who are guilty of such, and I wish that there was some way to stop them from pestering innocent people.
- Caller: Unknown Name
- Call type: Prank
- cassame as above, tax fraud claiming I 'm guilty of tax fraud , the IRS never calls they would sent out a letter
- Caller: Dept of Treasury??
- Call type: Prank
- AJSame as the two above. IRS sends letters out but when they call they usually identifies themselves as individual agents and asks for the person or persons that they are looking for, never just shoots at the person that picks up the phone. Never heard of a recording from them either. Scary though.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

When I told him we file tax together and that he could speak to me about the matter he told me it was against my husband not me. Then he told me he was gonna have the law on my door steps today if my husband did not call him back today. Then he hung on me.
