Received a call from someone claiming to be an employee of the local electric company.  He said he just received an email from dispatch telling him to come disconnect our service due to a delinquent account. He gave this number to call and make a payment to avoid losing electricity service.  I called the local number instead and they informed me of the SCAM.  Please don't make a payment to them!

We just had the same thing happen in Akron ohio. This is a scam the bill was paid and this number is a SCAM!

SCAM!!!! Same thing happened to us, and I knew something did not smell right. I called the customer service telephone number on our electric bill instead of the number the scam caller gave us, and customer service confirmed that this was a fraud call (our account is just fine - no balance due). They told me to contact our police department to make a report and also the State Attorney General.

Call was made to us as well. Fraudulent call.

Called claiming to be Ohio Edison.  Said they were coming to our restaurant in Beachwood in 45 minutes to shut off our gas for non-payment.  Called our actual gas provider, and we are current in our payments.  SCAM!  Do not call them!

Call from 844-850-5681 Ext. 1920 David Martinez - Claiming to with Ohio Edison, and someone is on the way in 20 minutes to disconnect Electrical Service. Do not even have them I have AEP. And bill is paid in full.
After telling this guy I have AEP he wanted my account number. YEAH right! NO way! Told him to stop calling.

These no life having fulls bother us with like 2 or 3 phone calls a week!!... We go with the flow and say- "please go ahead and disconnect our electric service". Eventually they'll stop if you keep ignoring them. Never make a payment to these no life having fulls.
