She says she is from Verizon wireless... I'm with att she says she is trying to collect a debt wtf

I got a call from this company too.
A "personal" matter of which they could only speak to me?

This number has called my cell for over a month-sometimes twice a day, sometimes just once.  They never leave a voicemail. Someone on this post said they claimed to be a debt collector, but I am certain I don’t owe anyone. Also, a few people said that they started getting calls from this number once they switched phone carriers...I’ve been with Verizon since 2002 so in my case, I cannot say the calls started when I changed carriers. I’m going to block them!

This # calls me 2-3 times a day stating they are a debt collector.  It sounds like they say the company is Afne or Acme.  They don't reference the account # or who the client is.

keep on getting calls from this number when I ask who is calling and what it's about the ask me what phone number I'm when i WOULD NOT GIVE IT THEY HANG UP

Yes, me too.  I have been getting this call now for almost a month and it gets through to voice mail where they leave a message that they are calling for a debt collector.  I know that's not true... they need to scam someone who is deliquent in something to be beleavible, ha!  Big SCAM.

They call everyday day. I have the number blocked and they still seem to get through telling me to call Anthony.

This number has called my cell THREE times today.  I have no clue who these people are or what they want, but I finally had to block the number after the third unsolicited call.  Definitely spam.

(844) 898-4011 is AFNI Collections, the collection company for Verizon Wireless.  They too called me, no VM's were left & when I answered they disconnected. I called the number back to get to the bottom of the calls.  I was waiting for T-Mobile to payoff my Verizon phone, wasn't happening quick enough. AFNI was polite, courtious & able to reduce the balance by 20%,  provide great information about the buyout process and what was going on with T-Moble.

I got a call from this number. I did not answer and no voice message was left. Per previous comments, I will block it.

I’ve had the same number and same calls from them also recently. They tell me the company is ASMI. Wouldn’t tell me anything else. It was hard to understand him. Wouldn’t give me his name so I refused to tell him mine.

This number called and asked for my husband, stating it was an important personal matter. My husband committed suicide back on July 3rd, told them to NEVER call me again.

The number shows up on my caller ID is as Afni. Normally I wouldn’t answer, but I was waiting for a callback from a technician to fix my TV. The caller said my name and said that they were from a debt collection company. I have never been late on any payment! I knew it was a scam, hung up and blocked the number.

Calls every morning at 9:34 am.. its like clockwork. Answer it to about 5 seconds of silence then it disconnects. Seems dumb to waste resources to make blank phone calls but it's maybe why corporations are going bankrupt.
