This is an obvious scam, if chase needs to talk to you they will do so over your account, or email. not by calling you several times a day through a phony number. They're tryna get your login credentials

I answered and after a pause a woman literally shouted "hello" multiple times before hanging up.  I don't think it's legit and never entered any payment plan or anything with Chase, just pay monthly as we are supposed to.

Calling 10 times daily saying I owe a debt and I am up to date. They are never leaving a message. It is telephonic harassment.

Got a couple calls from this number yesterday morning, no messages left. Googled and this page came up with claims it was Chase. Looked up my Chase accounts, and sure enough I was late with a payment on one. Made that payment, and the calls stopped. I guess I can’t confirm whether or not it actually was Chase, but... all signs point to yes. So I guess CWG40 can add another “criminal shiller” to their scientifically deduced argument. Meanwhile, my bills are paid now and no one is calling me from this particular number.

Keeps calling multiple times, most recently, twice in a two minute span.  They even called me on Memorial Day.  They never leave a message.

I called chase they looked up the phone number and it is 100% not affiliated with their company!  Please don't fall for these scams people. Just ignore or block the number.

Did not answer the phone but googled the number.   Apparently it's people posing as Chase Bank. First, they won't ask for your password. They don't need to verify your password to access your information in their system.

2nd, I don't actually have anynarration to Chase Bank and, having recently dealt with someone else trying to defraud me, I am very aware of what my credit report reflects and there is nothing there.

3rd, as others have indicated, this is not a number affiliated with Chase.

4th, it's the 4th of July. Chase bank, and indeed basically all banks in america are closed.

Calling on our national holiday, never give your info out on phone, they tried but told them it’s in the mail, end of story n told them it was weird to call on July 4th, acted as they had no clue what July 4th is. Person was definite foreigner, could not speak correctly or able to pronounce a very easy name. Yep, SCAM

You do realize that post you're replying to is over 5 years old and the person most likely will not see your reply, right?

Come on everyone...you can't be serious! What JP Morgan Chase or even credit card number do you know that does NOT start with (800)???? An (847) prefix? Its definitely a SCAM! I then called Chase directly and was told that this is NOT their number. Call yourself and see!

Lots,  for instance, Visa starts with a 4 and Mastercard starts with a 5.

Any legit bank or legit institution will leave a number to contact them back by. They will also explain why they are calling.  They will NOT call repeatedly and also not leave a message.

Been getting calls several times a day for the past week from this number. They never leave a message. I have been contacted by Chase bank before and they always leave a message. Always comes up as Dundee, IL in my caller ID. Also been getting a fair share of calls from an ‘Unknown’ number that can’t be traced. Pretty sure these guys aren’t affiliated with Chase.

Fraud, they called me last week. I hung up and contacted the bank who transferred me to the credit card and it was not them who called me. They wanted me to pay $81 late payment, I do not have any late payments. The bank/credit card said not to provide any information, just hang up.

All the posters saying it is legit are most likely part of scam...call official Chase number directly for anything connected with Chase..same with credit card companies....

I am getting 6 calls a day! LEAVE ME ALONE! They will not stop...

So block the number.
