Called but hung up without leaving message.  Caller ID reads SSI.

Has called three days in a row.  Each time calling 4 times a minute.

I'd reads Arlington hgts

Has called 2 times in past half hour. No message, nobody there.

If it'still SSI, I'm familiar with them. A former sample house for surveys,  they've clearly expanded to doing surveys themselves.

SSI means Survey Sampling International. They are a large company.

That webpage is written to make it sound like they are doing this out of the goodness of their corporate hearts, but it is really because federal law requires them to maintain an internal Do-Not-Call list.
Otherwise you will have to try to block all the numbers they are using, or will use.

Scam. Ask you a simple question, hoping you will say yes  .

Conducting a survey. Asked to speak with the youngest female member of the household.

SSI, obviously a telephone scam. Even calls after 9:00pm but never leaves a message and I refuse to answer.

It seems surveys and opinion polls are not bound by the 9pm cutoff for sales or debt collection calls. Read the post above from William if you wish to stop future calls from this company.

Caller id indicates that it is SSI located in Arlington Heights, IL.  Call received @ 8:25 p.m. which makes it both suspicious and annoying.

Caller ID said "calltrol.123  Left no message

Called at 9:26PM on 10/17. Picked up the phone to stop if from ringing but didn't answer. There was no one on the other end. The call came well after the 9pm cutoff for when calls are supposed to be allowed by pollsters and soliciting. Received another call tonight (10/18) from a different number but the same caller ID 847-264-4918, again, no one on the other end.

Unknown caller, no msg, from these very old comments looks like a survey call center still going at it.
