- Adri"Molly" called 5 times in one hour and when I finally pressed 1 a man with a heavy Middle Eastern accent answered and told me to go onto my computer and type in the website called "appleremote". In that website it says to type in your name and a code the man gives you so the tech support can fix my "i cloud security breach" where supposedly someone from Nigeria has been trying to log in. I did not type in my name or the number and instead searched up the number which led me here. The man even said I could go to the nearest Apple store if I didn't want to do it faster online but at the Apple store they would have to hold my devices for 24 hours, scary how convincing that man was if I'm honest. I don't know what to believe these days.

- RickI received the call today, and at the end of the recording they say hold on if you would like to speak to someone now, and I did. A gentleman with an Eastern Indian accent introduced himself, I responded with my best Italian accent saying “why you say my cloud not working” and he hung up on me. Dam I can’t even get scammer’s to like me! Tis the season.

- sallyI get about 5 calls a day from this number. I don't answer or call back. The recording says something about someone using my apple ID so I just went in and changed my password myself. Don't need to deal with these scammers. Changing your password will solve if it's a problem or not

Logged into 25 times today by someone in Nigeria. I asked speak wi supervisor. Supervisor got on line said “what happened”? Me: I don’t know, you called me. Him: your ICloud acct has been hacked. Me: who are you with? Him: Google. Me: Are you in Cupertino? Him: Yes, Cupertino, Australia.
OMG! They are so stupid. I told them they didn’t seem to know their left from their right and I know they are scammers, don’t call me again. He laughed & I then hung up on him. [***]! East Indian accents. - NickyI got 6 voice mails today from this number. The caller ID says "Apple Inc" (sneaky!) and the recorded message says something about iCloud, press 2 to speak to someone, or call back the 855 number. I figured it was a scam, and the other posts on this site confirm it!
- MyorionThe will call every 5 to 15 minutes saying that there is an apple security breach. On caller id, it will give an actual Apple store number 312 777 4200. I reported this to the FCC and spoke to tech support at apple. It finally slowed down. I don't know if this was a coincidence or not, but we just purchased an iphone for our daughter, and set it up yesterday

- Richard L. EdgewaterTied to the scam--mentioned by the robovoice--that has "Apple Inc" in the caller ID and the telephone number for the Lincoln Park-Chicago Apple store. (BTW, if you call the Lincoln Park store, you'll get a recorded message straightaway that they are aware of the scam.) This was the sixth call today, 12/26/17. I did not call the 855 area code number, just reporting it here

- RabbitRepeated calls pretending to originate from Orland Park, IL Apple Store about "ICloud security breach". The number the message leaves to call back is 855-200-5401. Several calls from them just this morning. Called Orland Park store and there was a message that they are aware of the scam. This also happened a couple of months ago, with calls pretending to originate from Chicago Lincoln Park, IL Apple Store.

- MargoHave received multiple calls in the last 2 days. Caller i.d. says Apple Inc, saying something about servicing your Apple product. Just got another one - actually calling from 708-645-5401, which shows on line as an Orland Park, IL AT&T store - and they leave the 855# to call back. I've ignored suspecting spam since I don't have an Apple device. Just blocked the 708#. Check call history and all the Apple, Inc. calls initiate from that 708#.
- Caller: Apple, Inc.
- KevinYes, I have gotten 3 calls today asking to call back 855-200-5493. Two were messages; on the last call I picked up but never pushed "1" to speak to a representative or "2" to hang up; I just hung up. Yes, it is a scam and it is still going on. The phone call came from a land line, 708-645-5401. This land line is the number for an Apple Store located in Orland Square. When calling this number, 708-645-5401, there is a recording which recognises that this number has been and is being used in a scam. The scam allows them to have the call back number displayed as 708-645-5401 Apple Inc., even though they did not call from that number.
