- Sarah| 2 repliesThese people are horrible. They hide behind the number 5707068800. They're a debt collection agency that refuses to believe that people whose accounts go into collections change their phone numbers. Innocent individuals wind up with the debtor's old telephone number. Several times I've had to call back (since they rely on robo-calls) to explain that I am not their debtor; I have this new cell number, and to please stop calling. They are rude on the phone. They continue to call. It's harassment, pure and simple.

- Gee replies to Buddy| 4 repliesHave you discussed this with your manager? Does he/she know that a Debtor cannot legally call if they are told not to and that it interfers with your job? Is your manager aware that Termination without Cause is illegal and subject to suit?
- Alfalfa replies to BuddyAgree with Gee--let your employer know that you have informed these pests (IN writing and VIA certified mail with return receipt requested) that you are not allowed calls at work. If they continue calling after you have proof they received your letter and you lose your job, you can sue the---mess out of them for FDCPA violations and they will end up getting NOTHING as a result of their bad behavior.
- Baby GirlA lady left a message and said there was a complaint against me how does that have anything to do with it? thesepeople need to realize that if its unknown they won't get an answer even if they call 8 times a day i really do hate it. the debt for Mr is probably for my baby(dog) who i had to put down because the vets were doing what they should have.

- Not 2B scammed. replies to SarahThis number belongs to collection thugs (by the way those at Ability Recovery-DON'T MAKE ME HAVE TO COME UP THERE!)...They don't even have a real person calling...then when you check for the message they leave they say nothing...call the number back and do the same thing...and do not pay them a dime!
Many times bottom feeders like these doooshbags buy accounts that have passed SOL (statue of limitations)-check the ones for your state. - AKKeep calling my work, and I have no idea who these people are or what they want, I'm reporting them to BBB.

Some Tips:
*Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time, date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.
