What is this?

They seem to have my cell and work number.  They leave a voicemail message saying they're trying to make a fax(?) order delivery and have made numerous attempts. Then some reference number...

They just called another office in my building asking for me by my maiden name.

Same type of call, fax order delivery.  Robo call on both cell and work phone.

Same here. Robo call. Left voice messages saying they are trying to reach me at my place of employment or residence.

Same robo call saying we have made several attempts to reach you this was the first call I have received it's a scam

Scam. Robocall. Stated they tried numerous times. No they have not. They have a fax message to deliver??? The are fake.

Same as callers above have stated.  Have a fax copy they neex to deliver to me. Can this be stopped?

Can what be stopped?  What you and everyone else is describing is not the IRS scam.  It is an extortion scam using the fake process server tactic and is used by criminal organizations pretending to be debt collectors.

Same message,  fax order delivery. Called a neighbor number made several  calls. Said next contact would be my job. Try calling the number but no response. Who are these people???

Might help reading what BigA posted just before. He answered your question and the reason for no response is because the number is not in service, or spoofed. It's not a call in number, and what else half reasonable would they use to possibly scare you out of money? A fax is not valid proof of debt, either.~I Was Prepared~JustinCase

They will mention that they have received a Fax document or some sort of complaint and that there is a pending legal matter or action about to filed against you to create the sense of urgency.  They tell you that they are a “process server” and cannot give you the particulars of the case since the file is sealed. This is simply ruse to get you to call another number (often with a made-up case number) where they will ask for money to “make it go away” (this is actually the same place, they work in teams, one pretending to be the server, and the other usually pretends to be a lawyer).  They threaten to serve you at home or at work.  They tell you that if they serve you at work they need a supervisor, security, or HR person there as a witness, hoping that will cause you to panic over the alleged embarrassment of being served at work.  They also tell you that you will need two forms of ID.  None of which is true.  Process servers do not ever call ahead so that you can dodge them.  Process servers get paid to serve papers, nothing else.  They certainly are not going to pass up a paycheck by telling you that you can avoid being served, they are not going to give you an extra day or even a few hours to get a “stop order”.  Court documents are time sensitive and have to be served within a certain amount of time.  Remember that you can always call the local courthouse to see if there is actually a lawsuit that has been filed against you.

These people have called my cell and home phone several times in the last day or two they say the same as all the rest on here. Such scum trying get people to believe this crap. Get a real job scum bags!

So these people actually did call my job wrong department  and told the person they have a warrant for my arrest and the police department in my area was coming to arrest me.they just told the person that answer the phone this. They alert my  supervisor and he came to get me. So i left work and went straight to the police department warrant  area. Told them what happened and guess what?  They had no warrant on me.I then filed  a report and the officers called them on his cell and told them that he was calling on my behalf. They then put him on hold and  hung up the phone.not once but four times. He then called from the police department and the same thing happened.. these people are worst then dirt.they are very awful and evil. For anyone to step to this level are very sick people. I pray they will be dealt with.  THIS IS A SCAM....... DON'T  RESPOND TO THEM................

Applied for a job on LinkedIn and they call me from this number with a job offer, saying I’ll get $27/hr and three weeks paid vacation per year. And it all remote data entry work. Just email them my ID.
