updated report. Alleged to be a subcontractor or Aetna (plausible). I complained several times to Aetna that they need to stop their telemarketing calls and it stops for a while until at which time it does not, which is now about 3 months later. As the medicare re-enrollment period is upcoming, and as Aetna is a complete nuisance with this regard, particularly with off continent phone centers staffed by fast talking highly accented English as a second language people, this may strongly influence my decision to opt in for CY2021. I know the speakers cannot help it, it's a job and God bless them, but my network of people on medicare advantage dont have to contend with this foolishness with other providers

These are persistent automated calls through Aetna Medicare Health.  At times, receive 3 or 4 calls per week. Have blocked all calls from this number, however, they still silently come through VM as a notification.  Extremely annoying!  Here's the reason why you should block this number and not answer any calls:  It's an attempt by the insurance carrier to obtain detailed information from you in order to categorize your health as a "high risk" member.  They are doing this to members who have coverage under the Medicare Plan or members who have been diagnosed with any kind of a disability or chronic illness.  If they categorize you as a "high risk" member, your premiums as well as your medical and pharmacy benefits (co-pays) will skyrocket.  This information was obtained through an anonymous, but reliable source who used to work for the insurance carrier.

Someone at this number calls almost every day at the same time. I recognize it and, in spite of attempting to block it, he manages to get through the next day. I accidentally answered it yesterday because I was in the dentists office without my glasses and could not read the visual display. I think it is the same character who says that he represents Aetna.

I saw the caller ID with Aetna and recognized the number from previous calls.  A family member picked it up and luckily he did not give out any info and said that he was not interested.  I told him that this was a scam and I no longer picked up a call supposedly from Aetna with that number.  The caller wanted to set up an appt., etc.

Have received numerous calls from them about the service included in my Aetna Advantage insurance. They never stop. Next call will be to my insurance company to confirm this is indeed spam. (I know it is.)

This is a very dangerous caller--DATA HACK ALERT.  This is why:  They phoned my home number which I never give out except to doctor's office and other important people I deal with.   They said they were phoning from my health insurance company (they mentioned both coverages I have specifically by name) and wanted me to phone them.   This is very likely for me a result of a HUGE data hack that occurred with INOVA medical patients and has been nationally announced---an IMMENSE hacking job occurred with a data handling company that many, many medical systems use!  Not just INOVA. They hacked names, phones, addresses and medical insurance information from many US medical systems.  Check online to see if your medical system was hacked.  I think now this information has been sold to scammers and they are using VERY specific information we'd think is only available from our own insurance company to scam us.  Do your research with your own insurance company AND also go to your medical provider web site to see if they list themselves as victims of this hack that happened between May and July of this year.   BE CAREFUL!

The only thing it says when they leave a message is a service which is part of your membership. " We look forward to hearing from you between the hours of 7am and 7pm. Thank you and have a nice day." They don't say what  the name of the business is that's calling, they give no return number too call, nothing.

Two calls from this number. Yesterday was a woman asking for someone by name. Today a man with the Aetna spiel. I've started picking up these calls but saying nothing, because it costs them money, hah!

Forgot to say, 2nd call left a call-back number, 855-746-8709, also widely reported as a scam.

The Call Control app automatically blocked the call, says it has a "spam score" of 88%. I have a Medicare Advantage plan through Aetna starting this year. The message said "I want to discuss a benefit of your plan with you." Fortunately, I came here before calling them back. Glad the Call Control app shut them down.

I have had over eight calls from this phone number with different sexes & accents/no accent.  All tell me they are calling to speak to my elderly mother who has dementia to schedule an annual in-home exam followed by "verification" questions confirming birthdate, SS# etc.  As her caretaker I am very protective of her information and I keep telling them that I will call to confirm their Identity and they say okay and hang-up.  Aetna says the group name is right but they do not advocate giving private info out on the phone, so they do not believe this is legit.

Calls happen at the 1st of every year for every Medicare Advantage members, specifically Aenta. Representative wants to tell you about "extra benefits" included in your plan.
I don't know why they have to call multiple times every damn day, other than the fact that someone gets paid to do so. It's annoying AF. Everyone just needs to call their plan and report the calls, maybe then Aetna will take people off the list.

I contacted Aetna after receiving multiple calls from this number.  It is not Aetna directly but a company they contract with to provide in-home health assessments.  They are extremely persistent - and they try to tell you that it is required.  (It is not required.)   The calls have all the hallmarks of a scam - seeking personal information that I would never provide to a cold caller.  At my request - Aetna "disenrolled" me from this program.  So theoretically I should never get a call again.  Time will tell.  But I am annoyed that Aetna provided my contact info to them in the first place.

Called the number on the back of my Aetna benefits card 833-595-1012 and talked to a representative.  They do use Signa Health for home visits.  Had on scheduled for Friday.  Told her that I wanted to cancel and to please stop the home phone calls.  Lady called Signa Health while I was on the line and cancelled appointment and any further phone calls.  The number on my phone ID was Aetna 855-215-1831 but the person said they were with Signa Health.
