Received a call on my cell phone from this number at 3:12pm 01/11/13. I didn't answer but they left no message. Been getting a lot of random numbers calling me lately.

It's a number "united recovery systems" its a collection agency.

They will also call you on your cell phone with a number that comes across with your local area code pretending to be a local phone call making you want to pick up. Like I did, but I pretended to be someone else other than the person they are looking for

We just got a call from a local number looking for our daughter. The man, Fred Truex, said he needed to talk to her and wanted her phone number. When asked what it was all about, he said he couldn't talk to anyone else about it except her unless she gave him permission. I offered to take his number, (the 855 one), contact her and pass on the request. He was professional about it, but we refuse to give out personal information to anyone we don't know, especially over the phone. He would not identify who he worked for, how he got OUR number, why he wanted to talk to my daughter or even the nature of his business.  One thing I wanted to know was, If this is the same company that has been calling others in my family looking for my daughter for unspecified reasons, how did they get our names and numbers and not hers? I'll talk to my daughter and see if she is aware of this person or why he wants to speak to her. I suggest that anyone else getting calls like this do the same.

I received the same phone call.  I did and asked the same questions as Mad Dad!  He was professional.  I did however know it was a collection agency.  I know my daughter's situation and she is dealing with it.  I told Mr. Fred not to ever call here again! He stated he would remove my number from his records.  Besides he used a name I haven't used in 10 years.  Mr. Fred would not answer any of my questions as well.  He also used a number which looked as if it was located right here where I live!  They have many tactics and no sympathy!!

I just got a call for my daughter, whose last listing is with us. He would not give me any information, just saying it was about a "personal matter"  I asked if I could have her call him back at this number he just gave me, this 855 number. He said he would be at this number for another hour, then in New Jersey tomorrow...I telephoned her and left a message for her to call me. I will pass this info along to her, about other calls about this number, and advise her to NOT call him back, but to give it to her attorney.  He called here from another number, which I tried to reverse lookup.  I could get no information on it, but my caller ID said it came from Ocala, Florida

I received a call from this number on 05/22/2014, caller's name Norman Minor, from United Recovery Systems. He said he called because I was listed as a family member of who he was calling about, my stepfather who died over 10 years ago. When In informed him of this, he requested that I send documented proof of this. What????

Received a call from a person who identified himself as Dylan Adams looking for someone that never lived here. He would give me zero information, but left his number (855-215-3226) for me to pass on...I again explained that the individual never lived here... he's called back again, but I did not answer the phone.  The number appeared to be local call, but I see now that it' s not. I don't understand why they lie by omission if they are a legitimate company.    

Neighbor got a call asking for my brother. He said his name is Norman Minor phone# 855-215-3226 ext. 9110. He stated it was a business matter

Just called my office to speak with an employee.Told them he did not work in the office so she would have to leave a message. The number on caller id was 985-718-4929 but she stated her name and number as Connie Chadwell 855-215-3226 Ext 9193. Seems they are spoofing local numbers to try to reach their intended victims. Googled the 855 number and low and behold.....SCAMMERS!!!

Called asking for my son-in-law's sister. Wouldn't tell me how she got my number and was vague on the phone. Said it was a personal business matter. I provided a vague reply in response but will pass the message on with the comments on this post.

called asking for a family member. 'not selling anything but calling on personal bizness'  i told her it was hokie and why would you call to get info on a family member. i offered to take message. would not give me any info regarding the call or the bizness. family member says b.s.

same call asking for daghter's phone number.  didn't give it.  called daughter and was told others had been called.

Got a call from Joshua Nicholson asking for my son who has not lived here for at least 8 years. Wanted my son's phone # which I didn't give. Told him I would get a message to my son, and asked him what was the nature of his call. He was professional about it but would only tell me it was a "business matter" and he could not disclose. Obviously some sort of debt collector. Must be a super old debt. He did not say what company he worked for.

Received a phone call on my cell from phone number 303-521-3610 (local to me). Gentleman was calling looking for a family member who does not live with me. Advised the gentleman, and he in return asked for my family members phone call. Advised him that I could not provide without my family members consent, but would be more than happy to pass along his info. He provided the following info: 855-215-3226 ext 9092 - Fred Truex with Alltran Financial.

Nice gentlemen. A quick internet search indicates that this is a collection call. A simple skip trace and or my family member including my contact info as a reference would explain why I received the call. Understandable, and non-concerning to me. The issue is not with the collection company who is just doing their job. . the issue is with dang family members who list me as a reference!!!

A woman by the name of Jennifer Medina called. I'm positive that she is a debt collector for Altran Financial and the person she was looking for gave them my name and number. Do not give them information of the person they are looking for. I informed them I would pass on the information and to remove my name and number from their directory. If my brother really needed me on there I would personally call back.

Stop calling me

I just received a phone call similar to what everyone else is describing. Mine came on my cellphone from a local number I did not recognize (520-226-9270). The woman specifically asked for me to get updated contact information for my sister. She identified herself as Monica Dinkins and could be contacted at 855-215-3226 x9468. She tld me I was listed as a contact and she needed to talk to my sister regarding a personal matter. I refused to pass on my sister's info and took a message.

It’s so easy for them to get a lot of information on family members!  I just got a call from a local number and they asked for one if my sons by name.  I told them that he didn’t live here.  They then asked for another of my sons by name and said they were trying to contact him.  Then asked me for his contact information.  I told him I’d take his number to give to my son.  The number he gave was the 855 number.  I don’t know if it’s total scam or an attempt to collect debt.  I hope just a scam and that my son doesn’t have a debt collector after him.
